Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 1419 West Gray Street, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

This is my first time renting a storage unit and I’m so happy with this location. It’s clean, I feel secure either with leaving things in my unit and the process was quick and easy. Kiara was polite and efficient, which was made an already stressful moving day much easier. She answered all of the questions I asked patiently and even checked on me when I returned to the location. Great customer service! ... Read more

This is my first time having to use a storage and I was recommended to go to Public. I spoke with Ray who informed me of helpful things, help me get my first storage unit set up successfully, and had a great personality! I will now be able to refer people to Ray when needed based on my great experience thus far! ... Read more

BEWARE! The facility itself is decent enough, but the business practices are extremely frustrating. Public Storage intentionally lures you in with a reasonable rate, then repeatedly raises the price once you’re moved in—knowing it’s difficult and expensive for customers to move back out. When I moved in, I was charged $276/month for my 10' x 25' unit. Over time, the company kept jacking up the rate. I'd push back—sometimes through the onsite office, sometimes with a district or regional manager—and occasionally they’d make a small adjustment. But before long, the rate would shoot right back up again. By the time I finally had enough and moved out a few weeks ago (August 2025), they were charging me $807/month. Meanwhile, at the same time their website advertised that exact same size unit at the same location for just $289/month, not much more than I originally paid. Yet, they were charging me, a loyal customer, nearly triple what a new customer would pay. I've heard from others as well, this place constantly advertises one prices to pull you in, then hikes rates for loyal long-term clients. If you rent here, be prepared to either keep swallowing massive increases or go through the hassle and cost of moving out. ... Read more

I had a fantastic experience with Ray at Public Storage! From the moment I walked in, Ray was welcoming, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. He took the time to explain all of my options clearly, answered every question with patience, and made the whole process stress-free. It’s clear that Ray truly cares about providing excellent customer service—he went above and beyond to make sure I had the right unit for my needs. ... Read more

Interesting how favorable reviews get an immediate response but reviews that call out the many failings of this facility and their inability to do anything, as they continue to charge for services, they don’t deliver, go unanswered . While Ray is indeed great and professional, this location is ripping off a large number of customers. The elevators rarely work at the same time, the air conditioning on the third floor hasn’t worked all year and it doesn’t matter who you reach out to at Public Storage corporate, even up to the senior VP level, no one returns messages or does anything to fix problems. I find it interesting that Public Storage in their Agreement can charge customers all sorts of fees for not following the Agreement, but if they do not provide the service that they are charging for, there is no recourse. ... I had a great experience with Ray at Public Storage! From the moment I walked in, Ray was welcoming, professional, and incredibly helpful. He took the time to explain all my options clearly and made the entire rental process smooth and stress-free. It’s rare to find someone who genuinely cares about customer service the way Ray does. The facility was clean, secure, and well-managed, and his attention to detail gave me extra peace of mind. Highly recommend working with Ray if you’re looking for top-notch service and support! ... I've had a storage unit at this facility since 2019. Recently, a new management team came on board and I can't say enough great things about them. Ray, the newest property manager is amazing. Not only is his level of care for the property exceptional but his customer service and assistance with anything that I need is unmatched. During the years that I've rented a storage unit here.. there have been some issues in regards to management in the past as well as the upkeep of the property which was quite frustrating at times. But I've not had one bad thing to say about the service/accommodations I've received since the new management took over. I've even had the pleasure of communicating with the district manager, Brian and other staff and everyone made sure that my needs were met to the best of their ability. My only complaint would be the hours of access, I wish the closing time was later, as I'm often busy during the day and can't get to the property by 6PM. Hopefully, Public Storage will consider extending the hours of this location. Outside of that nuisance, I totally recommend this location. ... Read more

All of my things were kept safe and well taken care of. The staff were exceptionally nice and the property manager, Ray, went out of his way to handle closing/vacating my unit after we withdrew our things. We basically didn't have to do anything, which made other aspects of our move so much easier. Thanks Ray! ... Read more

Writing to share my experience here. The location was super convenient for me when moving items from my house. And, even more importantly, the manager, Ray, does such a good job at managing the property--I'd be willing to take the extra time to use this location as my primary storage even if it was further from me! I reserved a unit online the day before and accidentally showed up on Saturday morning before the property opened. Ray was already there and let me come into the front office and helped me right away. He was professional, kind, accommodating, and patient. Ray answered all my questions and provided me with all the necessary information to properly access my unit. When I had trouble with opening the door, he promptly came to the unit and assisted me with it. He never made me feel like I was bothering him at all, despite lowkey being needy with my questions. He helped me ensure I had Bluetooth access to the gate via the app and even offered me a pizza when I returned to the office with more questions around lunch. I can't say enough good things about the experience, which is unfortunately increasingly rare in 2025 at any establishment/business, let alone storage units! You can trust your items are well maintained and under good management while Ray is at this location. Thank you, Ray! You made all the difference :) ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Public Storage - 1419 West Gray Street has to offer. These amenities include Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Public Storage - 1419 West Gray Street can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 25 to 450 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Public Storage - 1419 West Gray Street come at a variety of prices, starting from $51 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $664 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
