I love how they will actually hear me out. There was a little misunderstanding while I was filling out some papers while I’m at work gave him a quick call. Explain what I wanted and she was more than happy to help me with that as well so I think you Sabrina so much for the help. ... Read more

Vatneese was very helpful and informative! I came in towards the end of the day looking to possibly rent a storage unit and she had no issue showing me the available units and pricing. I ended up leaving with a unit within a half hour! She also assured me the pest control issue mentioned in previous reviews has been acknowledged by the owner and they are working on the issue. Highly recommend! ... Read more

I wanted to give an update to the rat problem here. We finally got the time to clean out our unit so we can throw everything away or give it away. I’ve included pictures to is time so everyone can see just the sheer amount of rat poop there is. This is completely unacceptable. We’re getting rid of everything expect my tools. Here’s a list of what we gave away or threw away: 1. A really nice leather loveseat that my grandmother gave to me. 2. The dining room table from my rv with the 4 chairs that came with it. 3. Our pullout sofa that also goes in our RV that we wanted to eventually put back in. 4. Two very expensive adjustable bed bases that are completely covered in poop and pee. Theres probably more but I can’t remember at the moment. We’ve finished cleaning almost everything out and will be cancelling our unit soon. The rat poop is just as bad as before. You can see in the pictures where they put out poison but it obviously didn’t solve the problem. I’ll say this: we needed to get stuff out of storage anyways because we just can’t afford it anymore. However, we have basically been paying rent here for our belongings to be completely destroyed. I’m sure I’d be down more than a few thousand dollars after all of this is done with. I can’t sell any of this stuff because it’s contaminated so I just gave it to whoever is willing to take it because I can’t afford to dump stuff. Dumping things like this is extremely expensive. The cherry on top is that they force you to pay for insurance and the insurance doesn’t cover crap. It definitely doesn’t cover things destroyed by vermin. We read all the fine print yesterday and that insurance is a complete scam just like everything in the world is. I’ve included pictures of the damages and the rat droppings. If you have a unit here, I suggest you check on your things and make sure they’re not ruined. ——————————————————————— THIS IS MY ORIGINAL REVIEW: They have rats bad. We’ve been here for 6 months and it’s been great so far. I went in my unit the other day and multiple items had been chewed to pieces by the rats. Our furniture is probably contaminated or ruined. We will most likely be getting our stuff out within the next month or so. They’ve always had rat poison out but it’s obviously now enough. This is extremely disappointing. Maybe the insurance will cover the loss of our stuff due to the rats. What a shame. I wouldn’t choose to drive your belongings here unless it’s stuff you don’t mind having rat pee and poop all over. If you have a unit here and are aware of this problem then you should be doing your path and letting everyone know like this. This is a health hazard that could lead to serious illness. ... Read more

My company uses the Big Red Barn, and our experience with them has been great. We’ve used somewhere in the neighborhood of 40 separate units, and I have nothing but good to say of my experience with them - especially Dawn! She goes above and beyond every time she helps me, and is prompt and on top of everything. She works at multiple locations, so she is only in Jarrell half the time, but I plan my business with Big Red Barn around her schedule whenever possible. ... Read more

After 11 years as a tenant, a recent infestation of rodents has contaminated everything in my unit due to the negilgence of Big Red Barn. They are unwilling to negotiate with me regarding my losses. I will be finding a new storage company ASAP, that is if I have anything left worth storing. Went today to start clearing my stuff out. 3 more dead mice, artwork and mattress damaged. Big Red Barn has not added a single trap outside or inside my building though I emailed them about this issue 2 days ago. They claim they're doing everything they can to solve the issue. Not so much unless you consider lip service to be doing everything you can. Steer clear. ... Read more

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.
