Nice building, no carts available to help move loads and the building is very hot inside so idk how it’s “climate controlled” been in this unit 4 days and they've already over billed me then billed me for the lock seperately then billed me for insurance seperatly, then credit money back then bill a diff amount again.....something shaddy is going on at this location ... UPDATE: They’re at it again! After my last post, I received a call from a manager, and we reached what I believed to be a genuine resolution. I intentionally left my original review in place for several months to see if their promises were real or just lip service intended to get me to take it down. Well… well, well… it only took three and a half months for them to revert right back to scamming their customers. Public Storage on Walker – absolutely horrific and predatory. I am currently going through cancer treatment and recently lost my job. They called demanding payment for May and I told them I was in the hospital requested just a short extension to pay May’s rent. Instead of showing any compassion, the man on staff screamed at me and then took it upon himself to call the emergency contacts listed on my account—without my permission. To make matters worse they cut your lock and had theirs then you have to buy another lock. I could understand if payment was missed and 30 days went by. More importantly, I managed to pay the full rent over a week ago, but because I couldn’t immediately cover a $70 late fee, as of today, even though “rent” was received they are now sending me a notice that my unit will be sold. Let that sink in: my belongings are being threatened over a $70 fee, even though rent was paid. Not to mention the cost of another lock. This is nothing short of predatory. Public Storage has far too much unchecked power. Their rates are outrageous, their policies are aggressive, and there’s zero humanity in how they treat customers—especially those going through difficult times. Regulations need to be put in place and their authority reined in. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Texas Attorney General. Enough is enough. ... Read more

The safety measures are wonderful & the entire building, plus units, are very clean. It’s a relief to know your things are safe when not on your own property. The online process was very easy to follow as well. ... Read more

The office is never staffed. You cannot get someone to call you back if you need anything. Rent is raised at least every six months. I started at 197 a month about a decade ago and now they want 549 for a 10x20x10. That is almost 200 over what the unit goes for on their website. I saw others moving out of here also and talked to a few tenants that also said their rent was raised after only 2 months of renting. The restrooms here are always ‘broken’ Just want people to know what they are getting into before they rent here. This place is totally ‘automated’ and customer service is non- existent. Caveat emptor! ... Read more

Rented an air conditioned unit on a month to month basis during our home construction. Started out paying 282 a month all in. It is now the beginning of the 5th month and they raised our rate to 400. We will never do business again, and we will not be recommending to anyone. Please beware. After this review, the manager called to discuss it. He reduced the increase to only 60 dollars more rather than 100. Still be aware and budget for a market increase rate every 3 months since when this location is full they raise the rate to the “market value”. Next time we will pick a facility with no market rate increase or one that has a lot availability. Read the fine print. ... Read more

The units are very nice and always clean. I would just be careful about the price raising. Be sure to check your email and stay on top of it otherwise one month, your price will be $10-$20 more. Thankfully, after talking to a helpful staff member, they were able to delay the price raise for another few months. ... Read more

Let me start by saying, I’m not one to leave negative reviews. These people are great at getting you in the door. Good luck getting assistance once they have you. I can’t speak for other locations but the doors at this location are horrible. If you try to close your unit mid month you will not receive a prorated refund but they are quick to rent out the unit that you have already paid for have had many storage units this is the first that does not prorate. I do not recommend anyone to rent here. Another thing they doubled the price over the course of a year. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Public Storage - 3155 West Walker Street has to offer. These amenities include Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Public Storage - 3155 West Walker Street can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 25 to 300 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Public Storage - 3155 West Walker Street come at a variety of prices, starting from $41 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $347 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
