This review is for Monica only. She is always so helpful and courteous. I was in town briefly from out of state to handle a family crisis and had brought the wrong key to the storage room. I did not have the luxury of time to wait days for the lock to be replaced since I was leaving the next day, Monica got permission from her manager and instructions to replace the lock. Not only did she replace the lock, she used a lock that a prior customer left behind so that I did not have to buy a new lock. I so appreciate her helping me out when I was so stressed with the family situation. ... Read more

Although it's in the contract the rent went up in a very short time. From 100 to 155 for a 10x10 (which was really a 10x8, it's in the contract that measurements may vary so check your unit first for measurements because I had some difficulty getting my stuff into a smaller unit than I thought. It's really warm in there for being temperature controlled. Please turn the ac down a bit, you can obviously afford it! The elevators are glitchy at times..needing to put code in a few times before it would work. Other than that, it's clean enough, bug free, and the staff, when there, are very nice. I would use them again but I would try to work out a better leasing price in the contract, if I could, for long term. ... Read more

I've been renting from the Starcrest location for over 2 years and have been nothing but satisfied! Recently I needed to rent an additional unit at this location and after researching availability online, Monica went above and beyond to help me locate and secure the perfect sized unit I was needing. She even offered to personally do a walk-through with me to see which unit would suit my needs best in regards to proximity to my other unit, distance to entry/exit and even went so far as to point out small differences in each different unit such as lighting! With a property manager like Monica, you've got a satisfied customer for life, right here!?? ... Read more

I’ve been at this location at 12214 Starcrest for a number of years with no issues. About a month ago the exit gate was torn down and has yet to be repaired. Consequently anyone can enter the property and leave without a code. Our unit was burglarized. When I reported it to the front desk I was told, rather nonchalantly, that they’ve had a number of burglaries recently. I mentioned the missing gate and it was dismissed as a contributing factor. Public Storage is a large and reputable company. I expect a different level of service and immediate attention to matters like a missing gate. Frustrated, angry, disappointed and out approximately $10k in stolen items. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
