Dont order space through main phone # go to office and see what your buying! They lied about pulling right up to locker they lied about having to buy special barrel lock! I had to pay $20 for regular lock and park 80 feet away from stupid locker to unload, he rented me one way around back off building with no vehicle access. Tricked me saying oh here one just came up half price if you order now. Probably will keep raising rate just like public storage does. Will say girls in office were nice but took off for lunch soon as I arrived probably knowing I got cheated. Wont stay long and will be moving!! ... Read more

45 days into this storage facility, I received this email: Dear Larry, Thank you for your business. We truly appreciate you choosing iStorage - 8088 - Spring TX for your self-storage needs. Periodically, we find it necessary for us to increase rental rates. This letter serves as your thirty (30) day notice for a rate change on your unit noted below. Please see the attached document for your new rates for your payment amount. As long as you are ok with 30+% increase in rates in the first 45 days, then this is the place for you. Otherwise, avoid it. ... Read more

This storage facility started off as a fantastic deal - location, climate-controlled unit, great monthly rates (even without an introductory promo rate), easy access, friendly staff, etc. HOWEVER!! The low monthly rates escalated from $63 in January 2022 to $108 in April 2024, jumping TWICE within a 6 month period in 2023, and again a few months later. The required monthly insurance coverage rate did go down, but not nearly enough to offset the monthly rent increase. Another recurring problem that’s come to my attention is that the AC units outside the building seem to rarely be running. At first, I assumed it was due to the way AC units typically cycle on and off, but it’s now been persistently quiet / not running the last few times I’ve been there. So the “climate-controlled” unit I’ve been renting for the last 2+ years is very often HUMID and HOT. And GOOD LUCK getting ahold of anyone to assist you at the office! They seem to come and go as they please, regardless of their posted office hours. Calling the phone number doesn’t help, either, because your call goes straight to the corporate dispatch/main office so you have to wait for someone to return your call. It’s very frustrating to not be able to speak with someone at YOUR facility. ... Read more

Don't bother coming here even if you have a reservation. The doors will be locked in the middle of the day. On 09/15/21 we had a reservation for 1pm their hours online are 10am-6pm but when we arrived they were closed and had a sign that they would be back at 2:00pm. They came out and said they weren't going to help us because they were eating and didn't care if we had a reservation. I get it, you have to eat but have someone cover the front or take your break when you don't have online reservations at that exact time. No where online does it say that they are closed for lunch. Even the hours on the door say 10am-6pm. They shouldn't allow reservations for that time if they're not going to service people. We had to wait 50 min for them to come back and the only reason they reopened and turned lights on at 2pm was cuz they saw taking pictures of the signs. When I walked in 3 people were working. Someone definitely could've been working the front. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
