I have rented with Boulevard Storage for years and been super happy with the location and my unit. It recently went under new owners and management . I was having issues longing into my account, now it’s set up differently. I was beyond frustrated and was going to receive an automatic late fee. I called the office this morning and spoke with Ram. She was super helpful and took the time to make sure , I could get in to pay my account and even got my fee erased. It was super refreshing as a previous property manager myself, to be heard as a tenant. Thank you again Ram! ... Read more

I had a fantastic experience with this storage facility for four to five years under the previous management company, Jensen Property Management. Their customer service was always responsive, fair, and transparent. Unfortunately, since the transition to Copper Storage Management, my experience has been nothing short of disappointing. Before the switch, I was explicitly assured that there would be no unexpected fees or rate increases. I also had asked and made it abundantly clear that if any changes were to occur, I expected advance notice so I could evaluate my options. I was assured that I would get notice prior to such an event were it to occur. Despite this, when I went to pay my bill, I discovered an additional charge for the Baders insurance program—something I neither requested nor agreed to. Upon contacting customer service, I was informed that the insurance program was mandatory, despite my objections. After a frustrating 20-minute conversation with the representative, I was placed on hold for another 20–30 minutes to speak with a manager, only to be told the same thing. The manager insisted that the fee was unavoidable and that the insurance was required. After a lengthy debate in which I reminded him (multiple times) that I had been assured of prior notice before any such changes, he finally and very reluctantly removed the insurance fee—despite having argued for nearly 20 minutes that doing so was impossible. This experience left me feeling deceived and deeply dissatisfied. The lack of transparency, poor communication, and appalling customer service have completely eroded my trust in this company. The long hold times, which may be due to outsourcing, only added to the frustration. Worse yet, the Baders insurance coverage was a mere $2,000, and the only reviews I could find about the program were from storage companies touting how much it increased their revenue—not how it benefited customers. Had I written this review before the management change, I would have given five stars without hesitation. However, due to the unethical practices and disregard for customer service demonstrated by Copper Storage Management, I am moving my belongings to another facility. I am not alone in this decision, as I know others who have also left due to similar experiences with them. It is truly disappointing to see such a well-run, locally managed business replaced by a company that prioritizes profit over integrity and customer satisfaction. ... Read more

I like this storage facility because it's clean and it's safe. Another little perk that this management does do is provide each renter with a brand new storage lock. And not just some dumb padlock either. The locks are the kind you would want to use on your storage locker. I for one really appreciated that super cool kindness. ... Read more

I have no problem with the units. The building has been clean and the units easily accessible. The owner (who I doubt seriously has answered the comments) changed property management companies. Jensen Management were absolutely the best, very efficient and knowledgeable. This new management company is not a local company which will leave you on hold for up to 20 minutes while asking their “team” how to proceed while answers seem to change with every person you talk with. They seemingly charge fees for every little thing, drafting your account without first notifying you. I’m sorry to report that if you’re not opposed to excessive charges, this is not the storage units that will best serve you. Find another place to store your goods.?? ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.

To open your storage unit door, start by unlocking it, whether it uses a traditional padlock or a Bluetooth-enabled smart lock. Once unlocked, grab the bottom handle and lift or pull up the roll-up door until it’s fully open.

If you’re using the unit for the first time, make sure the lock is properly removed before opening the door to avoid damage.

Security helps protect your belongings while they’re in storage and gives you peace of mind between visits. Many self storage facilities use a combination of features such as video surveillance, gated access, on-site management, and well-lit premises to help deter unauthorized access.

At Boulevard Center Storage - 162 North 400 East Bldg E, available security amenities may include Security Camera, Gate, designed to help keep your items protected.

Yes, most standard vehicles can be stored in self storage units. A 10x20 unit typically provides enough space for a car, while outdoor or designated parking areas may be available for larger vehicles.
