Read some helpful reviews of Bear River Storage, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

The front desk Julie, made this as easy and frictionless as possible, she was sweet, and kind and gave us all the information we needed between renting a dolly, to storage sizes and gave us a walk around to a few units to make sure we got the right sizes (we definitely needed that because we would of gotten a storage size too small). Customer service was 10/10 and the prices are amazing too. Highly recommend this rental, and ill be telling all my friends and family about them. Whatever Julies getting paid she deserves more! ... MAY 2022 I rented a climate control storage unit with Bear River in Washington, Utah. and I was told the temperatures would be below 80° I put my expensive golden acrylic paint worth $800 plus about $500 worth of vitamins also other perishable foods that were wrapped in put in plastic sealed bins for safe storage. I left them in there all last summer and put a thermometer in there and saw the temperatures went up over 90°. Also other people have complained about the temperatures in the storage units being too high I had to hire and to pay for movers and rent another storage unit in a different location and sT gEORGE. I was told my $2000 insurance would cover my items that should not be over 80° but when I filed oh complaint and send emails of all the photos and information and the pricing of all of my belongings that were ruined in the storage unit, they are not covering that nor my move and expenses. I have to hire an attorney now. Do not store your items at Bear River storage!!! ... Read more

I rented a climate controlled unit being told by the company rep that they stay under 80 degrees. I moved a bunch of long term food storage and other fragile items into my indoor unit. I placed a thermometer in my unit that monitors high and low temps and found the unit was reaching 90 degrees during the day. I went in a cancelled my rental agreement and moved my stuff to another storage facility that keeps their units cool. I contacted the company and they said these units are new and the cooling units must not be able to handle this heat, they gave me a partial refund, I feel I should have gotten a full refund for the entire time I had stuff there plus I had to move everything again because of them. I would avoid these units if you have anything of value needing to stay cool, I will not know if any or all of my food was ruined due to high temps in my unit! I would not trust them telling you they stay cool, they did not for me, I even checked other empty units in the same building with the same poor cooling results! ... Read more

Worst experience I've ever had with a storage company. I gave them adequate move out notice and was completely done moving out 2 days early. I told the only employee there that I was officially moved out and she made a note to leave on the desk. I was promised a move out confirmation the following day. Never got it but whatever. Then, later that week, they bill my account for another month. I call the following Monday and they say "sorry for the mix up, we'll send you the move out confirmation and a manager will refund your money within 2 days". Never got my refund so I call back Wednesday. No answer so I left a voice mail. Still didn't get a call back by Thursday so I called again and the guy said only a manager can refund so I ask for the manager. I could hear them talking in the background for a full minute before he came back on, laughed, and said the manager will have to call me back. I told them if I didn't get a resolution by that Friday I would report it as fraud on my card. No call back. I went to the office Friday and waited a full hour for the manager to "finish her appointment" before the manager called the front desk and told them to send me away with the promise of a call back immediately after the appointment. Still haven't gotten one and it's been almost 2 weeks. These people are crooks and stole my money and now their management is refusing to even talk to me. DO NOT USE THEM!! ... Read more

I called almost every storage rental, most of them is full and want to put me on a wait list, and some place run a special about 1 months free, it’s nice but the storage unit or storage space is full even with the month special you have to wait, that will defeat the purpose of the needs now!! So this place Bear River storage has the unit and no special on those unit, the office manager and her Husband know how crazy every availability of any storage company is hardly non to rent, so she gave me like 2 months for the price of one, i was very happy and this place is newer with all the security measure plus you need the code to get in and out to prevent someone follow you in but without a code you can’t get out!! That give me a sense is better security for me to leave my expensive toy knowing is 100% secured and I save money!! Great people and place to do business with. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.
