Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 8033 Martin Way East, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Sue is amazing at this location! Another review in the last few weeks attacks her saying she purposely tries to raise rent. DON'T BELIEVE THIS. I've been with public storage for over two years and I know that managers cannot do that. This person's review is hateful and targeted. It should be removed. ... Read more

STAY AWAY! After only 3 months Sue tried to raise my rent by almost 50%, when I complained I got a message that said my rent hike had been cancelled. Nope, just saw that she still billed me for a $35 increase without notice. This place is exploitative because they KNOW THEY HAVE YOU OVER A BARREL. I know for a fact that the person that originally got the unit (that I took over) only paid $150, and the price suddenly became $200 a month to take it over. Sue operates in horribly bad faith. ... I would stay far way from this place. Just recently went into my storage unit and everything is covered in rat feces. A few droppings are understandable, but I am having to toss items that I paid to keep safe because they are no longer useable do to this. They are not even providing the basic service of providing a storage space that protects peoples possessions. This is gross negligence on this storage facility to not notify it's tenants of this and has created a dangerous situation to even try to remediate due to the amount of feces and piss that we are now having to go through. For 3 years I paid to keep my items safe and 3 years later, they are destroyed. It was a waste of time and money to ever put anything in here. ... Read more

I've used the public storage facility in Lacey Washington for a little less than 2 years now and have been very pleased with the experience and service. As I was preparing to terminate my service and move out I worked with Lindsay. She was professional and had a gre at sense of humor. I highly recommend renting from public storage in Lacey Washington and specifically ask for Lindsay she will take good care of you. Five stars to you Lindsay. ... Read more

Sue and Lindsay was Amazing! Great location to rent for you, I just got a space for my trailer today and I highly recommend to go see them Definitely They both worked to go the extra mile to get me into exactly what I need and within my budget. I just wanted to thank you Sue and Lindsay and public storage lucky to have them as a member of their team. ... Read more

The facility is infested with rats. Our unit became home to them despite keeping it clean and visiting often. When we brought it to the attention of the very nice attendant, she pointed us to the “insurance” we had purchased. She also offered cleaning supplies and then told us put steel wool in the very clear entrances/exits. Clearly not a new issue and clearly not something the facility takes care of properly. The cap for damages due to vermin is $250. The insurance company is owned by Public Storage. We lost expensive bedding, a brand new motorcycle helmet, a dog bed, a suitcase and countless hours cleaning and then relocating our belongings. King 5 News recently did an exposé on this company for the exact same issue. They are just short of criminals. Rent somewhere else. Update: The facility called and offered us one month rent in return for removing this review. We will now be filing a complaint with the BBB. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Public Storage - 8033 Martin Way East has to offer. These amenities include Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Public Storage - 8033 Martin Way East can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 25 to 300 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Public Storage - 8033 Martin Way East come at a variety of prices, starting from $42 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $324 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
