Read some helpful reviews of Orchard Street Self Storage at 4001 South Orchard Street, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

The “secure” rv storage was terrible. All but one of the lights was not working, leaving the lot in total darkness. None of the security cameras in the rv lot worked for 2/3 of the lot coverage. Someone cut through the fence and broke in and robbed our rv along with a couple of others, resulting in thousands of dollars in damage and lost items. Probably just as safe parking on the street and saving yourself storage money. ... Read more

NOT SECURE! Security cameras do not work, half of the lighting in the RV/boat storage area doesn’t work, they have a long history of break-ins and theft, and they do not tell you any of this when you talk to them about renting. They promise secure storage with cameras. Not true. Thousands of dollars of our property was stolen, our camper was damaged, and they knew all along this could happen but did nothing to protect our property. ... Read more

When I had my bag containing keys and paperwork stolen I called orchard street and asked if there was anything they could do to secure my unit. Pattie informed me nothing could be done. The thieves tailgated in after someone used their secure key code to open the gate and were not stopped. I was later informed by a different employee that there were steps that could have been taken to secure my unit and possibly prevent the theft. I would caution anyone from using orchard street self storage. ... Read more

So I can not say enough about this place. 1st I called about 3 yrs ago n apparently got out on wait list (yippy) because at one of the most critical times in needing a storage and needing the one this size they called and said hey you're on the wait list would you like this big storage unit we have yes I would I said. Clean secure lots of cameras friendly employees everyone of them. A little tricky getting in the gate depending on how and what size your truck is. You may have to get out to punch code in. That's the only downfall. No biggie tho.. ... Read more

Great Storage Facility - I highly recommend if you are looking to work with a quality establishment. My son had to store a wrecked car for a short period (from the towing company next door). Normally Orchard Street would not allow but it was a temporary situation and the management was more than willing to work with me. Absolutely great customer service. From the front desk crew to the people that answered the phone. Orchard Street 'made room' in their RV area and allowed me to store it while we settled with the insurance company. A couple of weeks turned into a couple of months but OSSS worked with me all the way. Payments can be made electronically and it's easy to log into your account. I found the pricing reasonable and competitive for the space and the staff were friendly. Don't hesitate to use this location if you are looking for storage. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Orchard Street Self Storage - 4001 South Orchard Street has to offer. These amenities include Indoor, 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Orchard Street Self Storage - 4001 South Orchard Street can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 25 to 480 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Orchard Street Self Storage - 4001 South Orchard Street come at a variety of prices, starting from $45 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $375 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
