Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 7601 NE 5th Avenue, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Rats! They even cheered through my gallonn bottles of Catwater-PH (thick heavy duty bottles that cost $30+ each), destroyed a bunch of things. But Terri is cool. Very nice, understanding and down to earth. ... Read more

TLDR: RAT INFESTATION When I returned to my unit after a few months, I found extensive rodent activity (urine and droppings) on my boxes, totes, and bags. The droppings were so heavy on top of items that when I pulled things down, they rained over me. At the time, no one was at the front desk. The owner did eventually return my calls, which I appreciated, but the only solutions offered were a broom for me to clean the unit myself, put my own preventative measures in the unit and the option to file an insurance claim for up to $200. Given the extent of the problem, I don’t feel this was an adequate response to a serious hygiene issue which I see in other reviews has also been brought up. Unfortunately, this means we’ll now need to spend part of our limited time in town moving everything to a facility without a rodent infestation. ... Read more

I signed up for the lock-in-price at $70 last year in the Fall. And the price went up to $90, then $129 and it hasn't even been a year yet. I was notified I will be paying $170 in August. I am super disappointed in their deceiving contracts. I do not recommend at all. Customer service is great though. ... Read more

Excellent customer service from Teri at this location! Answered all my questions, helped getting the reservation going and even followed up to make sure move in went well. I was moving from Utah to Washington and I was very nervous about getting a storage unit to be ready for after we drove in from Utah. Teri helped make the process easy and smooth and made sure I was taken care of. Property was clean and easy to get to, unit was perfect for my needs and the app made access and locating my unit easy. Overall very good experience. ... Read more

Amazing customer service. Teri took extra time to make sure that we knew everything and that we got what we need and could afford. Took the time to make sure everyone involved understood all the terms do there would be no surprises. ... Read more

First storage units I have rented in my life, and it couldn't have gone worse than my experience here. Not only do they raise the rates $40-60 every few months, they developed a rodent problem during my 2 years there and almost all my furniture was RUINED in BOTH of the 10x10 units I had. On top of the pea and sheet everywhere, I also found a dead body in each unit.. so that was fun. They could have at least sent me an email or called me to let me know that I may want to take some sort of action, since they can't legally go into my units to place traps or anything.. Poor Teri, the manager there, has her hands tied by corporate, and she has to field all the issues because of this. If you rent here, consider getting their Orange Door protection plan.. as I also learned that Allstate Homeowners does not cover damages by rodents, birds, or other animals/pestilence.. At least my drums were pretty much unscathed. Anyway, avoid this BS company! I moved the stuff that wasn't destroyed to Extra Space. Lower rates and clean, temperature controlled units. ... Read more

We had a terrible experience with this storage facility. When we visited our unit, we immediately noticed a severe rodent infestation, and much of our belongings were ruined. Teri, the manager, was dismissive and unhelpful. I originally reached out and left a voicemail and she eventually left me a voicemail days later. At this point I had already looked into everything and made the quick decision to get out of there. On the day we moved out, her only suggestion was to use the facility provided insurance, which barely covers vermin damage ($250 maximum with a deductible of $100 or $150). When I pointed out how poor the coverage was, she said we should have submitted something through our personal insurance—completely defeating the purpose of paying extra for theirs. She also claimed they have pest control out every week and said she had "no idea" what was going on—very reassuring... She is prone to asking people she interacts with for just a couple of minutes to leave a 5-star Google review. I know this because she’s done it to me after I was in the office for less than a few minutes, and I’ve also seen her do it to others while I was waiting in line on other visits. Keep that in mind when reading reviews. The bad reviews consistently mention similar issues, while the 5-star reviews are vague or only based on interactions, not the actual condition of the units. I’m not paying for an "on paper" friendly manager; I’m paying to keep my belongings safe—something this facility fails to do. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Public Storage - 7601 NE 5th Avenue has to offer. These amenities include Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access and Online Payment. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Public Storage - 7601 NE 5th Avenue can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 25 to 200 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Public Storage - 7601 NE 5th Avenue come at a variety of prices, starting from $54 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $283 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
