Not a ton of reviews so I’ll share my new boat experience. I traded my older runabout in on a new Mastercraft the summer of 2021. I wasn’t quite sure, it took some time for my new boat to be delivered. Since delivery including the winter storage process Gage has answered or fixed any of my questions/problems. Gage might take a bit to get you an answer but they always fixed or corrected my concern. The salesman made sure my wife was comfortable driving and setting the boat up for surfing or skiing. He went as far as making sure my sons could get started surfing, with personal lessons. Gage tends to go the extra mile, I’m extremely happy with my Gage Marine experience! ... Read more

I was looking at buying a used boat in the 30-40K price range and having Gage Marine sell my 21' Boston Whaler Outrage. Doug at Gage briefly looked at my Whaler and said it would be easy to sell. I found a boat on my own in the St Louis area that was a deal I could not pass up. I brought my Boston Whaler back to Gage to have them sell it. When I told Doug (sales guy I met with previously) that I already bought a boat his attitude changed quite a bit. He did not get out of his chair to look at my Whaler again and said he could probably only get 2-3k for my Boston Whaler. I told him I would burn it for that price. I walked out and within 2 months a boat broker (also an awesome certified boat mechanic) in the Rockford area sold it for 13k minus his 15% commission. Based on my experience I would not consider buying or selling a boat from Gage. There are too many other options. Don't listen to bad advice if it does not sound right to you. I have been in sales for 27 years and you win some and lose some but you should always put the customer first and good things will happen eventually. I will be buying another boat in the next 5 years but it will not be at Gage. ... Read more

Called twice about a boat for sale, never called back. Stopped by the same day, walked through the boat yard with a salesman looking for the boat that was advised on their website for sale, could not find the boat. I left my name and phone number and of course never received a phone call. I would not recommend this place for anything. I recommend Gordys they took me to see a boat I was interested in even though it had a contract on it. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

To open your storage unit door, start by unlocking it, whether it uses a traditional padlock or a Bluetooth-enabled smart lock. Once unlocked, grab the bottom handle and lift or pull up the roll-up door until it’s fully open.
