Kent's has been very good to me in the last year. I am newly single after 30 years, and they have been more than than helpful with large repair bills and tire problems. I have recommended them numerous times to everyone I know. They even come and get my car and bring it back for an oil change! ... Read more

I left a review on Kent's Towing 5 years ago after they took advantage of the city calling them for overnight parking removal. It looks like I wasn't the only one and Kent's had to restart the Google review page to get the reviews back to a favorable level. Here is what I wrote 5 years ago: I got towed by Kent's towing Saturday morning after leaving my car on main overnight. When I went to go get my car they were closed and did not answer the phone until the Portage county police called them and patched them through. Then they promptly gave me the option of paying a service charge that would bring the bill up to $285 or wait until Monday when they would charge me $295. When they got there I found out that even though they advertised being able to use your card, all he wanted was cash and had to run down the road to Kwik Trip to pull the money out of the ATM. The person then said that it would have cost less on a weekday because nobody likes working the weekend. After getting my car back I went to work later that day at my normal rate. ... Read more

Kid got her car towed, and it sat for more than 2 weeks. Kent knocked the price down considerably to be kind. Then they topped off the power steering fluid on my vehicle. Friendly folks and great service! ... Read more

I visited Kent's four times in three months. Spent about $1500 throughout the four visits to fix the EXACT SAME PROBLEM (including towing and work done on the car). . Went to another mechanic. Spent $250 and only needed one visit to completely fix the issue. Not sure if they are just idiots or want to take as much money from you as possible. I think the latter. Or maybe a bit of both. Either way, avoid this place at all costs. In fact, the owner of the second mechanic shop I went to laughed out loud when I told him I initially went to Kent's, stating that it is "the bottom rung of all mechanics in the area". Highly do not recommend. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Kent-s Storage - 1274 North 2nd Drive has to offer. These amenities include Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager and Security Camera. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
