Just plain rude!

So….my first review for the storage facility that I have been storing my things at for a number of years is very OVERDUE for an update. For the sake of transparency, my original review is as follows…. Look around for a different storage facility. My personal pin for admittance has not worked for a few months eventhough my account is current. Additiinally, my unit has an overlock on it. This is not the first time this problem has occurred. I've made repeated calls and visits to the facility, during business hours, to have this corrected. Unfortunately, the door was locked and lights were off, and no one was there during the posted business hours. I have not received any return calls either. This place is also more expensive than most storage facilities. The only reason I rented a unit is because I needed a large garage, at the time, they were the only one I could locate to accommodate the size I needed. Now for my update…. Years ago, when I started using this storage facility, I did have issues and it was happening regularly. Then there was a change in management. I can’t recall the first gentleman’s name. He was very nice and easy going. The issues I was having stopped. Then, there was a change again. Greg was now managing the facility. He was fantastic! Very nice, great person to have a chat with, and he was a genuine caring man. I was in my storage one day having to dig around looking for some things. It was extremely hot and there were heat advisories out. Greg knew I went in my unit and I was there for well over an hour. Greg became concerned and drove the golf cart with some cold bottled water for me. Luckily I was prepared. I came with a really big insulated bottle full of ice water. He came out and asked if I was ok, if I was hurt, or needed any cold water to drink. I told him I appreciated him very much, but I was fine. No issues. He let me know he was concerned because he didn’t see me come out of the garage for quite some time and he was worried I might have gotten hurt or overheated. He gave me an open invitation to come to the office and cool off or come and get some more cold water if I ran out. Greg was always willing to help people in any way that he was able. He always seemed to be in a genuine good mood and always had a smile on his face. Needless to say, I was saddened to learn of Greg’s passing. He was such a genuine good person that truly cared about folks. Since there have been new people there to help cover when Greg had to be out and then of course to take his place after his unfortunate passing, each person I have spoken with has been very kind and very helpful, much in the same way as Greg. I have kept my things at this self storage because of the way Greg looked after any of us to make sure we were ok and safe any time we were on property. He was never short tempered. He always greeted you with a smile, but his genuine care for folks really shined through all the time. I was satisfied to have the constant issues stop years ago. I stayed because you aren’t going to find the genuine level of care, like Greg showed, just any where. I knew if something unforeseen should happen, I would be ok and my family wouldn’t ever have questions wondering why no one checked on me for hours. Accidents happen all the time. You simply never know. I knew I had a caring watchful eye everyday that Greg was on premises. I didn’t have to be worried about not being checked on or found if an accident were ever to happen to me in my storage unit. Having that sort of peace of mind means a lot! I have appreciated it tremendously since Greg first took over and I feel like the new management is doing Greg very proud too. I look forward to getting to know them better.

I was very please with my experience. The manager was very helpful and I would gladly recommend this facility to anyone who asks.
