If I could give zero stars, I would. Unfortunately google is more generous than I am. They bought out the storage unit we’ve had for 10 years. Didn’t let anyone know. Didn’t send a bill. Just a past due notice. Now they won’t allow access to our unit. ... Read more

The previous owners providing good customer support and on-site assistance. The Storage Place was sold to "Heartland Storage" recently. Today (9/26/2025) there was a malfunction with the entry/exit gate and a half a dozen people were locked inside. I called the number for help and was greeted by an AI assistant that routed my call to an overseas call center. I left my name and number and received a call 2 hours later from a kind gentleman that was obviously not based in the US. Fortunately, I still have the number of the previous on-site assistance personnel and he was able to help us get the gate open. What a mess. After renting 1000 ft.² here for more than 20 years I'm considering finding somewhere else. I would suggest you go elsewhere for your storage facility needs. ... Read more

I used this business in 2018-2019 and had a good experience BUT in 2023-2024 I used them a 2nd time and during this time I was in a terrible car accident, suffering with an illness and had to sell my home of 16 years. I had 2 storages there and kept in touch with the office personnel about my misfortune. I asked for help and patience because I was unable to pay timely for the smaller storages that housed years of Christmas decorations new and older, brand new bath items 5 Christmas Trees that included a white 4 foot tree, I talked with them monthly and not one time did office person say they we selling my things, in fact I offered to pay to move it to the larger storage and waiting on a reply. December I talked to her, I asked about my Christmas things she says we auction the small storage off, I asked why wasn't I notified she said she send a letter to an old post office box I had not had in 2 years, I asked didn't the letter return, she says the mail is messed up here. When I came personally to prepare to move all my things out of the larger storage, the office personnel had my 4 foot Christmas Tree in her office. I moved out on the 17th of December and was told I would not receive any money back for moving out early and if they rent the storage I had the new person leasing it would only have to pay for the rest of December, prorated. They never informed they were going to auction, they got some if not all my Christmas things and what hurt is I talked to them every month..I am still not totally healed BUT GOD ???? With swollen feet, legs and the help of church I was able to move out the larger storage. ... Read more

You get what you pay for! Do not be fooled by the cheap price - you might as well just store your stuff in your backyard. We stored half of our house in a unit at the facility and left it for 3 months. In that time, a raccoon (or other rodent) used our $600 mattresses as a bed and toilet. They were ruined! The owner claims no responsibility and will not even refund partial rent. His only response was "you should have got the insurance" which we were not aware existed. Buyer beware! Edited (4/5): Owner ended up giving a partial refund to help cover the cost of the mattresses - changed the rating to 3 stars. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
