Stored our home furnishings with this facility for 5 mos. while remodeling our home. It is a convenient, clean, safe, reasonably priced storage facility that more than met our needs. When our storage time was over the manager, Amanda, mailed a hand written thank you note to me! Great customer service! ... Read more

**DANGER - DO NOT RENT UHAULS FROM THIS UHAUL DEALER!** THIS COULD BE YOU! The "manager" dispatched a 20ft truck to my son to travel 220+ miles with a bald front tire and no AC. This truck should've been downed for repair. At return, the system charged him an additional 352 miles that he did not drive. My husband drove the entire 212 miles with me following behind him. ****1000% truth**** For those of you who are unaware, UHAUL charges $1.00 per each additional mile over the allotted mileage on one way rentals. This means my son is being charged $352 for mileage he didn't drive!!! This "manager" is the person who directly allowed this to happen. If this is UHAUL customer service, imagine the lack of care directed toward your stored items! My husband and I managed U-Haul Moving & Storage in Huntsville 3.5yrs, and I worked 5.5YRS for a UHAUL DEALER following (a storage facility at which I really was the "manager"). Dealers are supposed to send a link either to a renter's email or cell phone or both for verification of the gas and mileage prior to leaving the property. Dealers are also required to verify the mileage on self returns with their own eyes, that it matches the picture the renter uploads from their phone during self return. If this location cannot produce a picture with ACCURATE mileage prior to my son's dispatch of the truck, THIS DEALER SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE! When contacted about this very serious, $352 discrepancy, the manager says "We don't take pictures of odometers here." Seems suspicious to me. Who's being allowed to use your trucks with no pictures of documented mileage? What a shameful way to "manage" this business and a cost-concerning way to represent UHAUL. I wonder if your AFM or the MCP of this area is aware that your location is causing renters to be overcharged due to incorrect documentation of mileage and rental of equipment with bald tires and no AC. I sincerely hope no one suffers a terrible accident because of it. We will be contacting UHAUL corporate. ... Read more

My son rented a 20ft truck from your location. He was willing to do self dispatch but, was instructed to go inside and let the manager of the location do the rental. He then was not instructed to do a walk around or verify the milage. So we drove the truck 218 miles with no a/c and a bald front tire.just so happened we could have used the extra tire tread as we were now driving through a flash flood. We had to drive 35 mph to avoid hydroplaining. Finally getting to guthries in madison they are saying we went over 500 miles and are charging him $352.00 extra. I dont know why any company would do this to a anyone much less college graduate. Whom ever did not do their job or worse falsely entered the odometer number. All this could have been avoided.after my son told the returning dealership and multiple supposed managers No one has shown much concern? We will never use UHaul agian!!! Hopefully this will be taken seriously. So far he has not spoke to anyone that seams to be able to help him.We look forward to hearing from someone who can correct this. ... Read more

Made a reservation two weeks prior needing the U-Haul and drove three hours the day of the move to pick it up. I called the company just before my time to pick up the U-Haul and found out they did not have any available. They did not bother trying to contact me to let me know that my U Haul was not available. Management was very rude to me! Would never do business with them! The only reason they get one star is because you cannot give negative stars! ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
