I highly recommend this place to whoever needs storage. They are quick and easy to rent from I did everything online and when I got there the lady was very nice and helpful. I rented at U-Store-it for a few months, I was very pleased the unit was clean and spacious and I actually did everything online it was very quick and easy. When I got there the manager was very helpful and kind she made me feel welcome and assure me if I ever needed anything she was there to help…so thank you Kat, she answered all my questions and was fast in returning my calls. I rented a storage unit at U-Store-It for several years. During that time, my unit was broken into, and I lost many personal belongings. Thankfully, I had insurance, but unfortunately, the thieves were never caught because the facility's security cameras were not working at the time. Later, while reorganizing my unit, I had a few small cardboard boxes that needed to be thrown away. I asked my father to toss them in the on-site dumpster, which seemed reasonable given how long we had been loyal customers. However, the manager came out and was extremely rude and disrespectful to my father, yelling at him to remove the boxes immediately. My father politely explained that we had rented there for years and were simply cleaning up, but the manager continued to treat him poorly and without any basic courtesy. After that experience, I decided I would never rent from this location again. The way we were treated was unacceptable, especially after being loyal customers for so long. I don't reccommend this facility. They don't send out bill/statements each month. They have hours posted on the building but they are never there during those hours. you can call and leave messages that never get returned. I pay my bill the same day I get it in the mail, but I didn't get a bill so they put a lock on my unit. I didn't realize I hadn't paid the bill because I hadn't got the bill. but had they sent the bill it would have been paid. They didn't contact me or send me a letter that it was past due. I found out when I went to put some things in it and it was locked. Since no one was there I dropped a check along with a note saying I was not aware I was behind on the payment because I HAD NOT GOT A BILL. so I paid a little over the amount because the bill had went up and I couldnt remember the exact amount, and dropped thru the door. finally 5 days later they send me a note saying actually owed for 2 months and gave me the unpaid amount so the following day I went at 1030am to pay the rest of the amount owed but of course no one was there. so I dropped the payment along with a note stating I would set my account up on auto pay to prevent the situation from happening again if she would give me a call since I still have yet to catch her there. 3 days later the lock should be off my unit but apparently no one has been to the office to process the payment so the lock is still on my door. I waited 3 more days and went back because the lock should surely be off my unit by now and I still have the things in my car I wanted to drop off a week and a half ago. Nope still locked. so the note on their door said she was at the other location . I called that location and got no answer so I left a message. I then called my location and left a message. It is 2pm and the office hours say open to 6pm but again no answer at either location. I have been by the location at least 7 times at all different times of the day, left phone messages left notes with both payments. Have not heard back from them and their lock is still on my unit. Their website says excellent customer service. I beg to differ.I have to wonder if her boss knows she is never at work during work hours. No stars. Been trying to access unit for 2 days left multiple messages still no return call access code is no good. Customer service no help. Only local manager can reset/ or give correct code but can't get him/her (Angel i assume) to return call. Meanwhile my friends whole household is sitting outside! If we get call today I may change review but for now I DO NOT recommend using this storage facility. Omg it makes me put at least one star or I can't post! ... Read more
