Read some helpful reviews of Seacliff Self Storage at 18100 Kovacs Lane, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

When I went to rent a Seacliff self storage at 18100 Kovacs Lane Huntington Beach, CA 92648, they said they had a for promotion 11 month prepayment plan and one month free, and the price would not increase for the 12 months I paid. My payment start date is 1/1/2025 to 12/31/2025, but they sent me a notice of price increase starting 9/1/2025. Is this considered a deceptive practice? (EDIT) The notice I received on July 29, 2025, clearly states my new rate would be $458.00 per month, plus a $12.00 protection plan premium, for a new total of $470.00. Furthermore, I have not received any communication from your staff as you claim. My records show a formal notice of a rate increase, not a system "glitch." The attached payment receipt from December 21, 2024, The notice I received on July 29, 2025, shows a rent increase. ... Read more

This is the worst self storage I have ever even heard of!!! Not just the worst one I've ever used, but the worst one I've ever even heard of!!! The elevator I need, to go up to my storage unit, is broken more than it works! WHEN IT IS BROKEN they wait months to have someone come out! I am made to go on a scavenger hunt to find the other elevator to try to get to my unit and how am I supposed to get stuff out and into my car? Their staff changes hands more than a fast food joint and they lock the carts. So you have to contact the office to even get a key to get a cart to move your stuff!?? And don't get me started on trying to call them because it always goes to voicemail! WHAT????? DO BETTER! AND I MEAN WAY BETTER.... ... Read more

Violation of California's Business and Professions Code and Unfair Competition Law (UCL). VERY frustrating! Couldn't give me a straight answer on a lease rate post special. 6 months at advertisement rate, then, who knows. It could be a $25 increase. It could be a $250 increase. They are required to provide transparency after special rates per code cited. Don't let them Bait and Switch you! ... Read more

If I could give this place zero stars, I would! We have been renting here for years. Gradually they have increased our storage unit prices from $120 to now close to $300 a month for my second floor storage unit. For the last FIVE months I have been coming to storage and the elevator on my unit side has been broken. It is a major inconvenience when you are loading and unloading heavy bins/boxes. There is no signage about the broken elevator at the entrance keypad. The first time I experienced the broken elevator, I had unloaded all of my bins out of my car onto a cart and then found the elevator was broken when I got up to it! UGH! I had to push all of my stuff to the other side of the facility to catch the working elevator and then walk all the way back again after I had unloaded them in the unit. Obviously if this was an occasional problem, I would certainly understand. I have spoken to the manager, Angie, twice who was incredibly rude both times. When I approached her at the desk, she did not greet me and just looked up at me as if I was bothering her. When I told her about the broken elevator (again), her response to me was that it also an inconvenience to her and the other employees and did not seem to care whatsoever! She refused to give me anyone else's name or contact information at the corporate office. She gave me the customer service number that goes to a recording where you cannot ever get a live person to talk to. Also, the place has become very dirty with bird droppings caked all over the loading dock. The halls are dusty and dirty and do not seem to be maintained. I am actively looking to move my items to another storage facility and I would highly suggest you do the same! For this kind of money, I know I can get a better facility that appreciates my business and cares about their customers and business. ... Read more

Watch out for the hidden “admin fee” of $24.99 plus they tack on $14.99 for renters insurance. Incompetent workers with an unhappy demeanor they are not helpful and say they cannot adjust their surprise fees. Computer is always down. They advertise get a month free but it is only half off the second month… Process all fees I mentioned here and then make your decision to choose or not choose this place. They also don’t clean facility enough same dental floss on the floor in same spot for over a month! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Seacliff Self Storage - 18100 Kovacs Lane has to offer. These amenities include Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Seacliff Self Storage - 18100 Kovacs Lane can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 2 to 280 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Seacliff Self Storage - 18100 Kovacs Lane come at a variety of prices, starting from $8 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $575 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
