Consumers beware, they are scamming here. They raised my rent 39% after 4 months. I did not have a temporary price deal. The contract does say they may change the price at their discretion. One would assume this happens every 12 months (like at most facilities) at 5 to, maybe 10% increase. I am moving out and filing complaint with BBB. ... Read more

I reserved a space online. Turns out I have to arrive to show my ID before I can get gate access code. When I called, Cindy provided very helpful directions and when we arrived she walked through the unit to show us the space and also how to lock/unlock the spaces. It was reassuring to have someone show us around. ... Read more

I rented from the Lake Forest, CA location and the staff was wonderful. So nice and friendly and answered all my questions without making me feel stupid. There were convenient dollies available, great security and the facility was incredibly clean. I would highly recommend this Public Storage location. If I could give this business zero stars, I would. Worst place ever, DO NOT STORE YOUR STUFF HERE! I’m a single mom working full time trying to make ends meet and was behind on paying rent for January and February. They told me I had to pay my bill by today or else it would be going into auction. I paid over half of it yesterday and was trying to pay the remaining today when I got an email saying that my unit was sold and cleared out. That’s bad enough as I had meaningful stuff from my kids and deceased family members in there. But then on top of that, they want me to pay for two months rent still! Are you kidding me?! Have a little leniency for those going through financial hardships for goodness sake. DO BETTER PUBLIC STORAGE ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
