All Around Excellent! I've had some stuff here in one way or another for about ten years. The owner's are friendly, there is a wide selection of sizes, and I think they've raised their prices once or maybe twice in that time. They've got a size unit for just about everybody so you'll only pay for what you need. If you think you've gotten a better deal elsewhere, you haven't. I have found a number of cheaper units when I've needed some *extra space*, although the last time I went to them my rate went from about $120 to $300 in two years. If youre lucky to get what you need here, stick with them. 9/10 -The woman can be a very small bit rude sometimes, although I dont think she realizes it nor is doing it intentionally. Completely worth overlooking -I do wish there was some active ventilation in the upper level storage units of some type, it can get quite toasty. Just some fresh air would be nice. Perhaps fans on a timer. ... Read more

As a small business it's very difficult to find storage space to rent in San Diego. If you need a small space, most national storage chains aren't available to businesses, and the commercial spaces that are available are too large and not affordable. Charles and the staff here were exceedingly accommodating to our situation. We were on a tight schedule and they were able to walk us through the process from unit tour to move in on the same day. The units are clean and easily accessible at a wide range of hours. Security systems are more robust than any other storage place I've ever seen. Rent is affordable and they don't bleed you with increases every year. Do yourself a favor - skip Public Storage or Extra Space and give these guys a call. ... Read more

Worst customer service and the most unprofessional staff of any business I’ve ever dealt with in my life. Not once has any interaction here been anything even remotely positive. The manager goes out of her way to be as rude, condescending, belligerent, and offensive as humanly possible, and then says “I make the rules, so I get to say anything I want.” Truly terrible people who work here, with no redeeming value or quality to their existence. I’ll be happy to update this and answer to your response: I signed up for autopay. I gave you a brand new credit card that was only used here. Never given to anyone else, or used for anything else. The card was then used fraudulently to the tune of over $11,000 in charges, and was eventually shut down. It’s obvious YOU used my card number fraudulently, since no other business was ever given the card number and it never left my house after I used it for your billing. You mailed the late notices to the wrong address, and then threatened me with throwing my stuff away when I finally came in and found out what was going on. It’s a shame credit card fraud isn’t easily prosecuted, because I pushed for it. You all belong in jail- beyond your rudeness you’re criminals. So, if anyone else has had a similar experience, I can promise you these crooks are the ones who did it. Maybe if more of us approach SDPD, they’ll have overwhelming evidence in numbers, and we can get these crooks prosecuted. These are truly terrible people. ... Read more

Absolutely the worst customer service that I have ever seen in my life. The Manager Lady and her Daughter have some extremely warped social skills and they are both on some undeserved, inflated power trip. The man on site and the maintenance person, are both generally pleasant though. I am Absolutely amazed that the property owner continues to employ the two women. All of my friends that use this place, have been finding storage options elsewhere. ... Read more

Incredibly rude staff here, and the manager is the worst of the three. Nobody this unprofessional deserves my business, I’m taking it elsewhere. I just wanted some simple information on their available units and was treated like dirt from a woman who is obviously miserably unhappy working here. Have a little decency, and try representing your employer in a manner which reflects positively on the business. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Stor-It Mini Warehouse - 7405 Princess View Drive has to offer. These amenities include Climate-Controlled, Indoor, 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Multi-Level Storage and RV Storage. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
