    Great storage facility especially for the price. What you get is a converted shipping container to what ever size you may need. It's a 24 hour facility which is great but only down side is there is no in unit lighting. There are large lights that light up the whole facility but no electricity run to any of the units. Plan on bringing your own flashlights and or spot lights if heading there after sunset. ... Read more

    I recently had to unload my son’s two storage units. The staff there was helpful and courteous at all times, and the ability to access the units 24/7 was a big plus. Having spent the better part of 8 consecutive days there, I was impressed with the consistent patrols on the weekends, and how well lit it was at nite, enabling me to continue unpacking. There is someone there 24/4 as well as surveillance cameras everywhere. Boris and Ruben were especially helpful.     As a long term (years) paying customer, you'd assume that the staff here would already know who you are and wouldn't follow you to your unit even after punching in your security number to grant you access. However this isn't the case. I get followed shortly after I punch in and go to my unit. I don't recommend this place.     I’ve been in the storage unit game for about 8 years now and I have to say these guys are the best in the biz. The prices are more than reasonable, the facility itself is dam near sparkling, the units themselves are clean and well-maintained and the staff is exceptionally attentive. Which segues to the wonderful people who work there, for whom I could write an entire review, but I’ll try to keep it short. Everyone is extremely helpful, easy to work with, accommodating and all around just great humans. Once an employee helped me with a very sticky and unpleasant problem in my unit, well beyond the scope of his job, without even thinking about it. So kind. Additionally, the security there is top-notch so you don’t ever have to worry about nefarious activity happening near or with your prized possessions. In summation: store your stuff here.     Highly recommend. They have security there monitoring all units. As far as I see the location is much safer than the storage in Oakland and SF cities. Also, it is clean, I don't see rats there. I could drive the uhaul or pickup truck directly at the unit to move unlike other indoor storage. (btw, they have a gate. Even during the off business hour, I could still go my storage unit.) ...     Excellent storage facility. All the staff is very professional and responsive. The complex is well-lit, gated, and secure. On-site, after-hours security staff are nice, professional, and give 24/7 access which is very helpful. It's the little things that make this good place great -- their crew shot all our locks with WD-40 to prevent corrosion -- talk about being pro-active and considerate. An extra shout-out during the Covid-19 shelters-in-place: the staff quickly modified the hours in March and provided a very reasonable compromise which allowed access but also kept their staff socially distant & safe. ...     I have been a customer of Affordable Self Storage for several years. I am beyond satisfied with their service and staff. I've always been attended professionally, quickly and efficiently by the staff. Today, I closed my account, but I wanted to leave them a review. In 2017, I had a major transition in my life. I needed to move fast, which meant I needed a space for my belongings. I got the 8x10x9 1/2 unit B36. I looked at several places for storage, but only Affordable Self Storage had all the features I desired. Active security checks, 24 hour access and be able to drive up to the unit. I'd also mention that their location on Treasure Island is very convenient. If you will be accessing the unit during hours of traffic, be aware that only during those times it may be hard at times to get there.
