Mark and Alex and the whole team at SOMA self storage are the epitome of what I call old-fashioned customer service! Knowledgeable, respectful, friendly willing to go that extra 10% for the customer. They went as far as to offer observations regarding moving companies and movers and their observations were spot on! always willing to have a conversation in order to alleviate our concerns and or fears, I would recommend so myself storage to anyone and everyone. ... This place is awesome. The best part is the amazing staff. Everyone is super helpful and friendly. The facility is well lit and nice and clean. The office sells supplies at reasonable prices so you can get most everything you need. Plenty of carts around to move your stuff. Secure indoor garage, right near the office, the carts, and the elevators. The place is very secure. It’s just all around great. ... Read more

Went with SOMA Self Storage after viewing other storage options. The lobby area was inviting, Monica and Richard at the front desk were very friendly, welcoming, helpful, and efficient. The entire space was clean and felt very safe. I love that they have equipment onsite to help with items that need to be taken to storage. The storage units themselves seem newer, well maintained, well lit and easily accessible. Finally, the operating hours were better than some other places as well. Highly recommend! ... Read more

Nice place cheap for a minute my big issues is they won’t take a partial payment when you bill is 700 bucks and they won’t take a partial payment it’s messed up they can’t take your money a little bit over a month when your bill isn’t even due yet. Place is to expensive having to pay the thing all at once. ... Read more

Our time with SOMA Self Storage was great! Renting a storage unit for a few months was easy and straightforward. No surprises in terms of pricing (which was also much more reasonable than any other options we looked at in SOMA), and the staff was super friendly and professional. We had to move out unexpectedly early in our lease, but the staff was really understanding and helped us get a partial refund, which was a huge relief. Overall, a positive experience that I'd recommend to others. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
