The Problem: Budget and U-haul both over-book trucks, and leave it to the pick-up site to work-out the conflict. Reserve the largest truck one month in advance, and a day or two before pick-up, they call to offer a smaller truck. If you do not connect with them before arriving for your appointment......NO TRUCK! The customer; who is moving and extremely stressed; is usually unhappy to see all their careful plans disintegrate. Budget representatives deal with many angry customers, and become indifferent to the customers crisis. So even if you are very pleasant, the indifference carries the day. And to make things worse - San Marcos Storage rents storage units as a primary business, and deals with allot of students that are learning to be adults. Businesses commonly treat students like children, but most adults are used to being treated like customers. If you don't like being talked to like a child, she will gladly refuse to rent to you.
