Roxane, the manager of the Sepulveda Blvd. location in Sherman Oaks, contacted me and told me that she found my unit unlocked after she inspected the property. I had rushed to drop something off and improperly locked the unit, thank goodness I got there before she closed, it was right before the 4th of July weekend. I’m grateful to Roxane for preventing a potential loss of my property.

Roxanne at Sherman Oaks was fabulous. I arrived 15 minutes before closing and she graciously showed me 2 sizes of units I asked to see. She didn't rush me and was soo kind and helpful. Ive had unit #569 for over a year now and I’ll be honest, im not the best with keeping up with paying my bills on time lol.. nonetheless I’ve always been reminded very friendly and politely by Roxane when my storage bill was due. I have mixed reviews because this facility has in the past been very helpful and accommodating while I have been living out of the country. The past manager, Rodrigo, always did his best to problem solve and keep me updated on the ongoing changes and updates at the facility. However, in recent months, management has changed and it has been really difficult to get a hold of someone on the ground. I’ve had an issue with the website portal and logging in and was directed to Roxanne, who I haven’t heard back from in recent months. I have called multiple times a week with no answer and unfortunately the voicemail box has been full.
I understand that with new management it takes time for things to settle, so I’m hoping for a quick resolution so I can update this review and continue enjoying a 5 ? service.

This place is amazing. Once they sign you up they are on full tilt and repeatedly go above and beyond what would normally be considered standard practice . And they are super nice people (Jennifer is wonderful). I don’t normally take time out from a busy day to write about a local business . We have had the best experience working with Roxanne at the Extra Space Storage location in Sherman Oaks. She is super friendly and is just incredible to work with. We are grateful for her getting us set up with a storage unit so quickly after our move. Roxanne took the time to discuss our storage options, showed us the different units, and made the entire process extremely smooth.
The location is very secure with gate access and the storage areas are super clean. The pricing is very competitive and beat a lot of other storage competitor’s prices. And even had various promotions that were applied to our storage rate immediately.

If you’re looking for a place to store your stuff—stop scrolling and just come here. Because let me tell you, Roxanne is the reason this facility is the best in the game.
I came in needing a storage unit fast, and I expected to get what you usually get: a key, a unit, and a forgettable interaction. What I got instead was a genuinely enjoyable experience, thanks to Roxanne. She is hilarious, warm, sharp, and an absolute pro at what she does. You can tell she knows this facility like the back of her hand, and she walks you through everything with such clarity and care. She was incredibly accommodating and made the entire process feel easy and stress-free.
And beyond Roxanne being a total gem, the facility itself is great. It’s clean, spacious, easy to access, and super secure—everything is behind a gate with plenty of parking space, which made it easy for my movers to unload. Everything was clearly explained, and the layout of the place is straightforward and well-kept.
Honestly, even if this place were more expensive than others (which it wasn’t), I’d still recommend choosing it just so you can work with Roxanne. She made the whole process feel personal and smooth. My mom came with me the day I moved in and even she said on the drive home, “Wow, that woman was so helpful and nice.”

Update: The provided carts are nice and easy to maneuver. So far this is the nicest storage out of several i’ve used.
The elevator doors also open long enough to get on without the door closing on us. And the elevator door close button actually works, unlike most that are just a placebo (fun fact) and not connected to anything
You can even setup Siri to open the gate via the Extra Space Storage app. Nice attention to detail here, which is usually not a thing at the other places i’ve used

We came last minute due to vandalism that was occurring nearby to our cars. The staff at the office were very helpful and quick to set us up with a unit and at a good price
The units are very clean as it is still a new building. The automatic hallway lights stay on long enough and the elevator doesn’t require a code, which makes it easier.
