Welcome to the Hellmouth. Unfortunately, I had a unit here for a while.I left the country for a while and had to leave my things. When I got back, I made some late payments. Received a phone call from Welcome to the Hellmouth. Unfortunately, I had a unit here for a while.I left the country for a while and had to leave my things. When I got back, I made some late payments. Received a phone call from the manager. He butchered my first name, as only a true racist could. I didn't call back. The next month, on the 11th (Public Storage allows you a 10-day grace period to pay late), I received a pre-lien. Legally, storage units have to send you a pre-lien before they send you a lien. Basically, they were trying to auction off my belongings -- my entire house. They did the same thing the next month. I called and asked if this is how they treat their regular customers? They said I needed a strong reminder to pay ontime...ummm...what... I went ahead and paid on-time from that point on. The next month, they increased my rent. They basically wanted to get a hold of all my belongings. I was still far away from LA and couldn't move my things. Fast forward a few years, and I decided it was time. I was in the midst of moving out, when on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, I walked in and several units were open. I didn't pay much attention and continued to empty mine out. A fellow renter approached me and said that 19 units had been broken into the night before and something similar had happened in September. Minutes later, a young woman came in on the phone -- listing off units that had been broken into. No remorse in her voice. Obviously an employee. I took some things in my car and went to my apt., then came back again. The next time around, I saw a group of people standing outside. At first, I assumed they were employees. One of them came up to me. He said they were renters and were waiting for the police. At this point, I assumed the renters had called the police and the front office had done nothing. I continued moving out of my unit. Later in the day there was massive security around the building. The next couple days were uneventful. I called on 10/31 and told them I was moving out. They said I just needed to leave the unit empty and unlocked. And on November 1, they would take note. On 10/31, employees actually showed up. Someone was repairing and locking up the units that had been broken into. This was Thurs, and the break-in was Monday night. The office also finally started making phone calls on Thurs. Ppl wanted to know why they'd waiting so long. We deduced that their bill date 11/1, and if they waited until 10/31 to call, there would be no way ppl could get their belongings out before the bill date... Anyway, I successfully got everything out on 10/31 and awaited my move-out email. I did not get one. I emailed the office, telling them I had moved out. On 11/2, they promptly sent me a bill for the entire month of Nov plus a cleaning fee. I called the main line, and got a customer service agent to chat with me. I explained that I had pictures of my move-out on 10/31 and I hadn't used my passcode to enter the property after 10/31. I, then, let off some steam about how much I hated this manager and how I was going to contact my attorney after all these issues. She ended the chat session and blocked my number. I could not chat with anyone after that. So, I called from a different number. I got a real-live agent, who checked the last date I used my passcode and verified it was in the month of Oct. So the automated system gave me a refund. The lady said I owed nothing for my move-out. I thanked this kind soul for actually helping me, because no one else at Public Storage had even bothered. I received an email informing me that I owed nothing for November, but I still owed a $75 cleaning fee. I emailed the manager, who did not respond. I called customer service again, and was told that my storage unit was left dirty and I had to pay $75. BS. I even swept my unit. And I had pictures to prove it. But at this point, I was so exhausted from wrestling with these leaches that I caved. I went ahead and paid the fee -- I know, I shouldn't have. The moral of the story is: do not leave your things here. It is hell on earth. They are thieves. ... Read more

DO NOT USE this storage location. If I could put 0 stars I would. My storage unit was broken into 3 days prior to anyone notifying me about the brake in. Their customer service is terrible. I only had a space for a month but everything was pretty easy. The gate code on the app didn’t always work from my car & I had to get off my car, no big deal. Make sure you have the correct floor numb I only had a space for a month but everything was pretty easy. The gate code on the app didn’t always work from my car & I had to get off my car, no big deal. Make sure you have the correct floor number because I was sent the wrong one & couldn’t get the elevator to go. Everything is automated so you only get permission to go to YOUR floor. I was texted floor 2 but emailed floor 3. So we kept hitting floor two and we thought the elevator was broken. We finally tried floor 3 and it worked. It was just a blip but just make sure you get your correct floor. Other than that, I would use them again. ... Read more

I HIGHLY recommend Public Storage, and especially this property in Studio City. Katie (District Manager) and Matt (Property Manger) smiled and greeted me as soon as a walked in the door. Admittedly, I I HIGHLY recommend Public Storage, and especially this property in Studio City. Katie (District Manager) and Matt (Property Manger) smiled and greeted me as soon as a walked in the door. Admittedly, I was just seeking prices and size options, and had no intention of getting a storage unit today, but their fast, helpful, and super friendly demeanor, along with the exceptionally clean and well taken care of property made it a no brainer! It was a super fast and seamless process too. Thanks! ... Read more
