I rented a unit here for about 6 months. When I initially wanted to rent a unit there, it was a little tricky to get hold of a person to talk to because the management team is only on the premises 3 or 4 days out of the week and it seems like those days they are only there for a few hours. When I was inspecting the unit, I was asked if it would be useful to me to have 24hr access to the facility. I said that it would be very helpful since most of what I store is tools and it would save me a lot of trouble if I had access early in the morning and when people call me in the middle of the night with an emergency. I've o ly seen a couple of places that offered 24hr access in the past. A couple of months ago, while dropping off some tools one evening at about 7pm I was approached by one of the managers who said to me, "you know you're not supposed to be in here, right?" I reminded him that I had 24hr access, and he said that was only if the unit was rented under a business name. This was not what I had been told when renting the unit. I told him that I had had 24 hr access for the past 5 months and he said, "well not anymore." Although this created quite an inconvenience to me, I complied with the new hours imposed without complaint. A week later, I received an email from the management team stating that they worked too hard at the storage facility to not be paid for the units they rent out, and that they were terminating our rental agreement and I had about 10 days to vacate the premises. This was very confusing to me. During the 6 months that I rented the unit, I did pay for every month. A few months into my rental, my girlfriends mother passed away and we had to go to the east coast for a few weeks. At that time the rent was paid late, in fact it was a couple of days over the 10 grace period before a late fee is incurred. I paid the rent for that month and paid the late fee without complaint. This was the only incident regarding payment while I rented there, so I don't know why the letter that I received said something about not being payed for the unit. Usually I would pursue the matter further, but without 24hr access to the unit, there wasn't any advantage to renting here over any other place, and after the way things had been handled by the managers, I thought it probably best to store my things elsewhere rather than wait for the next inconvenient surprise from management. ... The setup getting in and out of the gate is very tight watch your vehicle that you don't pop your tires on the speed bumps they put right next to it plus the person working at the storage parks in a very inconvenient place which makes it even more difficult getting in and out of there ... Read more
