From the very beginning, Extra Space Storage in North Boulder has been nothing short of outstanding. They’ve been incredibly accommodating, genuinely affordable, and above all, impressively personable. I had the pleasure of meeting the facility manager on site, who was direct, professional, and truly pleasant to work with. What really blew me away, though, was the level of service I received even when I wasn’t present. Another facility manager went out of their way to help coordinate a move for me remotely, and they handled it with such care and attentiveness—it far exceeded my expectations. ***UPDATE AT BOTTOM***Local staff are all awesome, new manager Mahonri is super helpful and courteous, so is Peter. But this company rips as much money as possible from people with their ridiculous surprise rate increases, it is definitely a classic bait and switch scheme and should be federally and locally illegal IMHO. AGAIN, not local management's fault AT ALL. They are pushed with review quotas so here it is. District manager isn't very helpful at all with rates, refuses year after year to upgrade or repair a totally missing security system at this office, making for an unsafe environment given that it's centrally located in the Homeless Highway of North Boulder. Terrible snow drainage and they don't stay on top of ice dangers in the winter, allowing their contractor to do a poor job and still get paid. GREAT LOCAL MANAGEMENT!! That's the only extent of what is great about this place. GREAT LOCAL MANAGEMENT. Do not make a budget on what they quote you for an introductory price unless you budget a 50% or more price increase even in low demand months. They basically make you pay more when their business is lacking or when it's entirely full. Completely unethical. Surprising given rumored morals of the ownership class. Before corporate replies with typical boilerplate responses, I'd encourage them to rethink their district manager's ability or willingness to rectify literally anything above. If she can't or won't fix it, that's all on the TOTALLY UNREACHABLE and unaccountable corporate management out of Utah. They hide for obvious reasons. while the staff was amazing, and the grounds impeccable, the first year I was there, they raised my rent three times, totalling a 30% increase. so i switched to a larger unit that was less expensive. then on my third month, they doubled my rent. so, i left. i'm all for a company making a profit, but this company clearly loves to bait and switch as a money grab ...
