Last night I went into the storage facility before closing hours to unload my 26’ U-Haul truck. Apparently the place closed while I was unloading, without anyone that works there doing a walkthrough to make sure no one else is inside! I had to use a side entrance when I got there because they are doing construction work, and I wasn’t able to get my unit from the main entrance. When I tried to leave around 10:30pm, i put my gate code in to leave but it said see Managment. There’s a number posted above the gate code and of course no one answered and i left multiple voicemails and texted a robot. Long story short I had to wait over an hour for police to show up to help me get out. Thank god I didn’t have my children with me, that’s extremely dangerous to lock people in! They do offer 24/7 access and of course through the customer portal you cannot upgrade and have to call someone to add that, during business hours. Someone called me from Florida (customer service) this morning and said it was my fault because it’s in the contract the hours. I told him yea and when Target closes if you’re in the store they don’t lock you in, they do safety walkthroughs to make sure everyone is out!!! ... Read more

I used Mid guard for approximately a year and never had any problem. As a matter of fact they have been very professional and flexible to work with. I’ve used many storages before and this one by far has been the best experience I’ve had with. Not to mention the pricing is very affordable for the quality of the storages. I would definitely use again it I need to! ... Read more

The kid they have working here never answers the phone. I'm convinced it's the owners son. They are not helpful, and they are the least convenient storage facility I have ever utilized. The pricing is terrible and they raise your rent with no reason. Do yourself a favor and go just across the street to Red Rock storage. Incredible service, less than half of what you will pay at Midgard, climate controlled, indoor, with plenty of amenities to make moving things a breeze. Tell the construction crew blocking most of the current property at Midgard to just tear down the whole place and build another Red Rock Storage facility. ... Read more

I rented for this place since it was east woodmen storage (2019). The site is clean and I never knew of any incidence where property was in danger while storing. I don’t understand the new way of management as far as no person on site but I will say it is easy to text and get in touch with someone. Over all good place to rent from. ... Read more

Great service from Midgard for well over a year now. Unfortunately, I needed to move out today because I'm moving, but the whole process was very streamlined! Billy at this location came over and inspected my unit while I was sweeping it out and took car e of turning in my DaVinci Lock for me. Couldn't have asked for a better storage facility or better employees to work with. It's be a pleasure. Thank you Midgard! ... Read more

INSIDE BURGLARY JOB!! Buyer beware!!! We are in the process of selling our home and started depersonalizing and declutterring for staging. On 1/31 we rented a unit from this location. And they make you use their locks!! On 2/3 we were contacted by the office stating there had been a string of break ins and told us we needed to check our unit. On 2/4 I went by our unit and our lock was intact and not cut so I figured we were safe. At this time I did not open the unit. On 2/16 my husband and I went to drop off more stuff to our unit and when we opened it, we realized 75% was of our boxes were gone. We called the police and filed a report. We contacted the office and asked for video footage and were denied. Told us they would only release to the police. The police requested video footage and were also denied - stating we needed a subpoena. We were able to work with the burglary team with the police to finally get the footage. They originally tried giving us footage from 1/9 which makes ZERO sense considering we didn’t sign the lease until 1/31. Finally we got the right footage but it was such bad quality all you could see was it was a white pick up truck. We can’t see the license plate OR the driver. Go figure! The officer asked the storage unit for record of who accessed the gate at that time and they have no record of the main gate opening. Which is garbage, because anytime we accessed their facility, we entered a code and it identified us by name. Fast forward to the insurance claim and they denied us because they said there was no sign of forced entry! Yet they were the ones who advised us of the break ins to began with. We filed a claim with our homeowners insurance for a loss of $25,000! That’s how much we lost yet they have no record of the gate opening, our lock wasn’t cut or tampered with, terrible camera quality, and insurance that doesn’t pay out. You tell me how this isn’t an inside job? They even went as far as to tell us the cameras and security are for them not the customers. Their employees have no sympathy for anything that occurred at this location. They deny everything and take zero ownership or accountability. Do NOT trust this location to protect your belongings! ... Read more

I would give a 0 star if I could. Used them because we are moving and needed to thin out our house for staging. 2 days after we moved in, almost all our stuff was stolen but without break-in. Someone had the code to the lock they provided. They were very unhelpful and didn’t seem to care much. Very uncooperative with police also and gave them 3 different videos from the wrong days. Then finally a video with a truck in it, but had no record of how that truck entered the premises. Of course the fine print in their contract says the cameras are for the protection of their property, not our belongings. Seemed like an inside job. Then the insurance they provided was denied because during a burglary there has to be signs of forced entry, and since they had the code to the lock they provided, after they were done taking out stuff, they just locked it back up like nothing happened. We are now out of almost $20k worth of stolen items and they could care less. Let me add that there were multiple units broken into the same way. No signs of forced entry, they had the code to their locks too ... Read more

This is a bitter sweet moment for me. I have had a unit with them for 4 year and they have been very kind, helpful, and supportive. Thanks to them I didn’t have to part ways with a lot of items that hold sentimental value to me. I’m forever grateful that I found them when I did and at a great price. But all great things have to come to an end and now we shall be parting ways :( and not because they did anything wrong it’s because I GOT A HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you!!!!!!!! ... Read more

I chose them because it was close to my house however, price wise they aren’t the best. Customer service also the lowest compared to other storage units around town. I was walking to my unit and I said good morning to an employee or owner and he said “can I help you?” As if I jumped the fence to get into the facility and then I said “oh I was just saying good morning” and he said “ok” and walked away. As a businessman myself I prefer to do business with people/ businesses I like. Even on the phone they rude. Honestly I don’t see myself staying or recommending this place. The unit itself has nails going through the walls from the unit next door coming into mine. If you want to pay for convenience come here. If you want to pay for at least up to par customer service, good prices, clean/safe units then you might want to try else where first. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
