Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 3061 Wood Avenue, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Public Storage the company is probably 3 stars at best and that is because of their constant rising costs. When my dad first took his unit at this location, it was a local storage business. He has been very unhappy with the rising costs so I needed to move him out. THIS LOCATION however is 5 stars... and that is because of Julia the manager. She is kind and knowledgeable. Every interaction was pleasant and helpful. I will also add that after being there for 5 weekends to unload his enormous storage unit- everyone I spoke to going in and out of their units were also really nice. This location still has a more personal feel to it. Nyla ... Read more

Do not put yiu belongings in here if you are struggling financially. Ask a friend who actualky cares about uou and wants to help. Public storage will take everything you had and sell it in an auction and still expect you to pay over $500 to collections even though they made a profit off your belongings. They will put a hefty lien on your things and send it to collections and force you to pay it even though they made their money back and then some. They’re a scam unless you’re well off and able to afford their rising prices. ... Read more

Advertised climate controlled storage, talked to someone who said it was climate controlled storage, once we got there we confirmed that not only was it not climate controlled storage but there weren’t any climate controlled units available at this location. They told us of a different location to transfer to, and said that it was okay that they wouldn’t refund us anything at all despite false advertising, because the new place has a $1 for the first month deal. Come to find out that doesn’t apply to transfers or second units. Terrible customer service, terrible experience. ... Read more

Becky was amazing. I had so much trouble trying to find a clean unit in town. I came by last minute and she helped me out like it was no problem. Any other place would have turned someone away that or told them to come back the next day. But my car was full and after hours of trying to find a clean unit in town I should have just chose public in the first place. ... Read more

I am sad to say that we were very disappointed with the local Public Storage. This is our first time trying to work with Public Storage, but by no means the first time we’ve worked with a storage unit. We rented a small unit in order to store our motorcycle, and needed to be able to trickle-charge it, which we have ALWAYS been able to do at any other unit we’ve worked with. Once the motorcycle was taken to storage it was discovered that there wasn’t an outlet, but there was a lightbulb fixture. We were told that we just needed to buy a lightbulb, however, when my husband did just that, it was apparent that there actually wasn’t any electricity at all. So we pulled the motorcycle from the unit, and left behind the lock. After several calls, we are not told that we will only be refunded the charge for the lock, but not the first month’s rent (even thought we were only occupying the unity for 3 days), nor the administration fee. We are very unhappy with the false advertising, and the refusal to refund us. We will NEVER try to use a Public Storage again. ... Read more

Julia is so helpful. Very impressed with facility and the quality of service. Julia helped me select a unit, rent the one I needed, and set up my online account with autopay all with ease and efficiency. She answered all my questions and concerns, and the facility is very clean. Looking forward to being a customer at Public Storage! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Public Storage - 3061 Wood Avenue has to offer. These amenities include Climate-Controlled, Indoor, 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access and Online Payment. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Public Storage - 3061 Wood Avenue can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 25 to 200 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Public Storage - 3061 Wood Avenue come at a variety of prices, starting from $25 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $163 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
