The Public Storage app has some annoying gremlins, but Finn helped me get it all straightened out, while juggling multiple properties and handling people inconvenienced by the property security rules. This is a clean, well-maintained property, and all staff I have dealt with personally over the past two years have been helpful and friendly. ... Read more

Storage Customers Beware, security issues at this site. Went to my unit today. Someone removed my lock and put on a another cylinder lock. My bill is up to date, office confirmed they did not do it. Updated: I reviewed my access history and notice code use at times that I was not there (twice, one at 8:21pm) I've cleared out my space and notified customer service of move out. ... Read more

I had the pleasure of working with Angie at the Public Storage location on Youngfield Street, and I can’t say enough about her exceptional customer service. I showed up late in the day, close to the end of her shift, yet Angie greeted me warmly and handled my situation with patience, professionalism, and care. She went above and beyond to sort out my account in their system and make the necessary adjustments without any hesitation, even though the timing was far from ideal. It’s clear that Angie takes pride in her work and values her customers. Her dedication, attention to detail, and willingness to go the extra mile truly stood out. Public Storage is lucky to have such a hard-working and compassionate team member and I hope her efforts don’t go unnoticed because employees like Angie are what keep customers coming back. Thank you Angie! ... Read more

This Public Storage location rewards your patience and relationship longevity by increasing rates at the end of nearly every mandated notification period. No sooner do you begin paying the new rate than you receive a new notification of rate increase. Meanwhile, there are numerous instances of dirty or unsafe conditions in “secure” areas due to access by transients. In addition, there have been numerous access issues during my short patronage including both doors that fail to close allowing access to the aforementioned transients as well as doors that fail to open during business access hours, preventing me from accessing belongings. Time to remedy these issues was unacceptable. I was also the subject of a transposition error that caused me to leave work early to ensure my belongings hadn’t been stolen. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
