Unit leaked ruined all my stuff was told to contact there insurance provider it wasnt there problem. Insurance company will not reimburse for anything without receipts from original purchase. So really the money you pay for insurance does nothing for you. 2 months so far and was pretty much told there not going to do anything. ... Read more

Be careful if you rent here about billing, I didn't select auto pay on my contract and they charged my credit card after I moved out of my unit for another month and late fees, I even called them before hand about moving out and no longer needing the unit. I'm contacting a lawyer..... UPDATE... problem wasn't fully resolved, was promised to have 1 month free storage for our troubles , never received it, called region manager about why we was charged and didn't receive our free month and acted as if no such conversation happened.. Not satisfied with there service at all, nothing but problems, promised one thing, then nothing, I call them several times and no results, only how things get done is leave a review and then they call me wanting to resolve swiftly, seems to me only concern is there positive feedback on Google then the actual customers. ... I started renting my unit two years ago, and it was owned by a different company until Storage Sense took over. I'm not sure how long the front gate was wide open but weeks leading up to me emptying my unit, the gate was left open due to the key pad being broken. This storage unit was actually broken into under the previous owners and they purchased new pad locks. But then storage sense is totally fine just letting anyone drive onto the premises for weeks. ... Read more

Convenient drive up storage units. Very easy online booking process. I appreciate how the locks are provided up front. Customer service is very courteous and helpful. Their call center hours are accommodating. The added fees and cost of unit after taxes were a bit much month after month though. I would consider renting again, if needed. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.

To open your storage unit door, start by unlocking it, whether it uses a traditional padlock or a Bluetooth-enabled smart lock. Once unlocked, grab the bottom handle and lift or pull up the roll-up door until it’s fully open.

If you’re using the unit for the first time, make sure the lock is properly removed before opening the door to avoid damage.

Security helps protect your belongings while they’re in storage and gives you peace of mind between visits. Many self storage facilities use a combination of features such as video surveillance, gated access, on-site management, and well-lit premises to help deter unauthorized access.

At Storage Sense - 28 Bishops Crossing Road, available security amenities may include Security Camera, Gate, designed to help keep your items protected.

Yes, most standard vehicles can be stored in self storage units. A 10x20 unit typically provides enough space for a car, while outdoor or designated parking areas may be available for larger vehicles.

For safety reasons, most self storage facilities restrict certain items. These commonly include:

    • Hazardous, flammable, or toxic materials
    • Perishable food
    • Live plants or animals
    • Cash, firearms, or irreplaceable valuables

Always check with the facility at 28 Bishops Crossing Road for specific restrictions and recommendations.
