Public storage just bought another storage company and mergers can be chaotic! After some initial chaos, Barry, Sylas, and Sam got me into the unit and even threw in a lock! Even within the chaos of merging in 1,200 new storage locations, good people like Barry, Sylas, and Sam will carry a company through! Thanks again ... Read more

This storage facility is extremely overpriced for the dirty run-down units that they rent. Expect to be lured in by a lower monthly rate and then get hit with their insurance scam. They advertise as a secured facility, but the front gate hasn't closed for six months, but they increased the monthly rate (with no security). You can do better than this scam-based company anywhere else. Don't fall for this company's false advertising. Run as fast as you can from this place. ... Read more

This is not a full-service Mini-Storage. you cannot sign up for a storage unit here. You must go to their location that is printed on the sign. But it's close to alachua. And it has plenty of safe off-street parking. And dozens and dozens of units. ... Read more

Been a customer for the past few months, so far so good. I do see dead bugs so that makes me happy knowing they are truely doing pest control. I have a climate control unit, and just wish it was a little cooler in there but all in all pretty good. Decent customer service also. ... Read more

These people are crooks. They tell you a price over the phone. Then when it comes time to sign, they tell you about their 1-time admin fee plus a mandatory monthly insurance starting at $15/mo. Just include it with the price if it's mandatory. Shady people, I will pay more money elsewhere if I have to, but I won't do business with liars. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.

To open your storage unit door, start by unlocking it, whether it uses a traditional padlock or a Bluetooth-enabled smart lock. Once unlocked, grab the bottom handle and lift or pull up the roll-up door until it’s fully open.

If you’re using the unit for the first time, make sure the lock is properly removed before opening the door to avoid damage.

Security helps protect your belongings while they’re in storage and gives you peace of mind between visits. Many self storage facilities use a combination of features such as video surveillance, gated access, on-site management, and well-lit premises to help deter unauthorized access.

At Public Storage - 13701 NW US Highway 441, available security amenities may include Security Camera, Gate, designed to help keep your items protected.

Yes, most standard vehicles can be stored in self storage units. A 10x20 unit typically provides enough space for a car, while outdoor or designated parking areas may be available for larger vehicles.
