Nice large facility really clean. Cash excepted at this location which is nice most of the locations that I have stopped into recently keep saying no cash which is annoying, but Christine gave me 2 different places to go that are still excepting cash. I really appreciate her great customer service and knowledge of her job. Thanks for all your help Christine. ... Read more

This started out as a good experience and I'm no longer happy. Especially with the communication! A few months ago I reserved a unit and informed the young lady that I would most likely not be moving any of my things in until my actual move in date that was about 2 weeks later. She told me that was fine because I had reserved it. Fast forward to my move in date and I go to get access only to find out the my unit was in fact given away. A very nice customer service lady helped me into a slightly larger unit and honored the price of the original unit. So in total i was paying $65. A month ago I get an email stating that my price was going up to $125! I couldn't believe it. And when I baked to speak with someone she hung up on me. I understand that prices can change based on demand, but a 50% price hike is absolutely outrageous. I also requested to have it looked into and to have someone give me a call back about the situation and never received it. Just checked my account and sure enough the $125 was pulled out. I'm disappointed that Public Storage thinks that is acceptable. I'm disappointed that noone had contacted me in regards to the situation. I'll be shopping around for a different storage unit. ... Heather assisted me with securing my storage unit after my online reservation. She helped me select a larger unit than I originally planned for and helped me gather some moving supplies I needed. Moving during this COVID-19 crisis is such a hassle but Heather was very organized, conscious of keeping her distance, wearing a mask, offering me gloves and keeping the store secure while I was there. She was very polite, knowledgeable and efficient. She helped me get more organized quicker than expected through her suggestions. I had a great experience and am very pleased with her service. The location also looked VERY clean which is a must for me, especially if I’m going to store my belongings there. Thank you, Heather and Public Storage for your excellent service! ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.

To open your storage unit door, start by unlocking it, whether it uses a traditional padlock or a Bluetooth-enabled smart lock. Once unlocked, grab the bottom handle and lift or pull up the roll-up door until it’s fully open.

If you’re using the unit for the first time, make sure the lock is properly removed before opening the door to avoid damage.

Security helps protect your belongings while they’re in storage and gives you peace of mind between visits. Many self storage facilities use a combination of features such as video surveillance, gated access, on-site management, and well-lit premises to help deter unauthorized access.

At Public Storage - 1355 State Road 436, available security amenities may include Security Camera, Onsite Manager, designed to help keep your items protected.

Yes, most standard vehicles can be stored in self storage units. A 10x20 unit typically provides enough space for a car, while outdoor or designated parking areas may be available for larger vehicles.
