I called the office line, and it turns out the person who was supposed to be working here until 6:00 PM went home at 1:00. I live an hour away from the storage facility, and I’ve been calling all morning—ever since I rented the unit—trying to get an answer, but no one picks up. So, who the hell is actually supposed to be working here in this shitty office? The office is supposed to close at six in the evening, not whenever the hell you feel like it; this isn't the first time I've come here only to find that the person supposed to be staffing the office left early just because they felt like it. ... If I could give under 1 I would. We drove 2 hours from st Augustine with our storage stuff in tow, and when we got there it was late. They had accidentally given us the wrong type of unit, we wanted an outdoor car pull up unit and they gave us an indoor one which would t work with the things we were storing. So then we tried calling and were on hold for over an hour with no one actually picking up I. The other end. So we decided we would just buy another unit and explain the situation to someone in the morning. We pull up to that unit and the spot for the lock is completely broken with a hole so you couldn’t even get the unit open. In the morning I call first thing and they tell me that they have to put in a transfer which will cost more money, and then the one the transferred me to was also broken. Finally I just asked for a refund which they told me was against their policy even though I didn’t understand if they were giving me a defective unit and I had never used it and it was within 24 hours how it couldn’t be cancelled. Especially since they told my husband that his could be cancelled. As soon as he got on the phone, they were trying to make accommodations and apologized a bunch to him, which felt very sexist that I wasn’t being taken seriously. As soon as he hangs up and they call me again to verify all the information, they tell me that they can’t cancel anything because they don’t see the charges. And I told them they charged me a total of 425$ for two units and i have the confirmations in my email and they said no they don’t see it so it can’t be there. I was beyond livid with our treatment and honestly will never ever rent from a public storage because of this. It was such a terrible experience with over 4 hours of phone calls, being hung up on, being made to feel like I can’t have any resolve because I was a woman, and ultimately ended with them telling me they wouldn’t give me back my money for their defective units. I would warn anyone to be wary of this place ... Read more

Absolutely terrible experience at this establishment. We were trying to rent a spot to store our jet ski and we were given the incorrect spot. Then we subsequently rented two more spots trying to transfer as instructed by customer service and they were defective and broken and inaccessible, and the company is refusing any sort of refund at this point. do not by any means go to this business to store your items ... Kenny was an absolute lifesaver when I was moving in. He made the whole process super smooth and stress-free. Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
