16970 NW 4th Ave, Miami, FL. I have been with this facility for many years.and now my favorite person/manager retired and a new manager is in place. My experience with the new manager, Alex, has been very good! He has me feeling well taken care of and confident my concerns are professionally addressed. Thank you Alex. Keep up the great work. ... I would like to thank Ms. Tina for her time and attention! When I first moved to Miami, I had many issues with the place I was renting and I decided not to stay there and put my stuff in storage instead until I found another place. Ms. Tina was super helpful and cheerful which was a godsend because I had so much to deal with that day with the place I was supposed to move into. Ms. Tina was with me for over an hour and was so gracious to even help me wrap my furniture. I will never forget how sweet and kind she was to me. ... Read more

This has been one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with any company. I rented a unit at Public Storage and the moment I opened it, I was shocked to find it full of rodent droppings, cockroaches, and ants. There was no one in the office to assist me, so I had to do the entire rental process over the phone. I had to spend my own money to clean the unit before I could even consider using it. But things only got worse. I kept checking the unit regularly, and after 4 days i got the unit I discovered that rats had started eating through my belongings. Luckily, that day someone finally happened to be in the office. I reported the situation immediately, and the staff member said they would file a report and help me through the process. That was the last time I ever heard from anyone. No one ever followed up. No call. No message. Nothing. Meanwhile, the rats kept damaging more of my items. I was forced to remove everything from the unit earlier than planned because I couldn’t risk losing more of my stuff. I even submitted a formal complaint just to have it on record. Since then, I’ve tried to visit the office — it’s always closed. I’ve called, and they said the issue was escalated to a manager, but I never received a single response. It’s been over a week since my last communication attempt, and I’m still being ignored. Today, out of sheer frustration, I’m posting this review along with images to finally get someone’s attention. I trusted this company with my belongings and ended up losing items, time, and money. Their customer service is non-existent and their facilities are clearly not maintained or pest-controlled. ?? I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. STAY AWAY. ?? ... Read more

It looks like a scam to me! My husband booked a storage for the car, your employee assured him on the phone that it would fit our model perfectly (Toyota Corolla, nothing too big). But arriving at the place, it turned out that only half of the car fits! We were offered another option for $150 more expensive! We refused and cancelled the reservation! But they charged us the entire amount, and after 3 days they charged us another $11, it's not clear why, and they continue to send bills for the storage we don't use. What if it's not a scam? Also, no one answers the phone or calls back. It is not possible to file a complaint online. ... Read more

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this public storage. I vacated my storage unit on the exact date I was supposed to, which was february 1st, yet I was still charged for an additional month. I’ve called their office multiple times to resolve this issue, but despite my efforts, I’ve received no response. No one has followed up or even returned my calls. The lack of communication and poor customer service is unacceptable. I would strongly advise anyone to be cautious when using their services. It’s frustrating to deal with such a lack of professionalism after being a paying customer. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Public Storage - 16970 NW 4th Avenue has to offer. These amenities include Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Public Storage - 16970 NW 4th Avenue can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 50 to 300 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Public Storage - 16970 NW 4th Avenue come at a variety of prices, starting from $88 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $431 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
