It is rare these days to find great customer service. It is a lost art. I was switching storage units ( downgrading sizes as I no longer needed the larger space) I scheduled a move in and a move out thru the app. Ally, manager in Sanford, noticed this activity and called me to make me aware that Public Storage doesn't pro-rate rentals. I would have had to pay for 2 units for a month. She put customer service ahead of profits. Thank you ALLY! I appreciate you! ... Read more

Absolutely terrible customer service. No one is ever available. HAS BUGS. Won't let you access the dumpster. And raise the price every couple months within a year i went from $58 a month to over 100$ for the same unit. The staff is never available so dont need help with anything regarding your unit immediately cause you will be forced to sit on hold for a hour just to reach someone on the phone that ultimately will just forward your complaint to the staff thats never there in the first place. I will be moving out and will never do business woth this company again. Its sad to see big giant companies treat their customers so poorly while little companies have to work so hard to keep people happy. Stay far away from this place it has been nothing but a nightmare for over a year. ... Read more

Rent is fair, but they don’t disclose hidden fees. Place is clean, but the bathrooms are locked, elevators slow, few to no carts available. Bring your own cart. Hours need to be extended, because you spend all your time looking for a cart, finding a restroom, staff or punching in the long access code. ... Read more

She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. It’s rare to find such genuine customer service these days, and Ally truly made all the difference. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for secure, clean storage with outstanding support. Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
