Only reason they have one star is because I can’t leave a 0 star review. ?My unit was broken into weeks ago after an individual cut my lock and removed items. According to storelocal, camera footage revealed the incident but the company has extremely poor customer service and has not contacted me with any updates or footage for the police report. They told me to file the police report and didn’t disclose time, suspect information or items that were taken from the unit. All they do when I call (if I’m someone is rarely working), is tell me they will submit a ticket in regard to my phone call about the incident. One sales rep was even laughing on the phone.? Terrible terrible terrible, do NOT rent with them. Don’t let the lower price fool you, they will raise the price on you whenever they want. ... Read more

I am mad at them!!!!!! they gave me a deal to move in and said I would pay $100 a month with the impression that the price would be the same until I moved out. Couple of months later they raised it 30 more dollars!!!!!! That's quite a big jump after only two months. I would not recommend them!! ... Read more

First off I rented a storage from this place about 4 months ago when they were having a Black Friday special so the rate of the unit was $57 a month for a 10x10 unit. It didn’t say anything about how many months it would remain that rate but I figured it would last a few months then go up slightly. After the second month I got a notice that it was going up to $87 month. That’s like a 60% increase in two months. Pretty ridiculous and extreme. I decided I was going to move my stuff out of there the following month so when payment came due I didn’t pay it right away because I usually paid cash and I had been staying in Boise so hadn’t made it that way yet. I had a few things in there I posted to sell on marketplace and someone wanted to check something out so I went to the storage around the 7th to meet the guy who was in a hurry and low and behold I was locked out of my unit. I went in the office and said I needed to make a payment and he said $87 so I gave him a $100. He then said he didn’t have change. I then asked him if he could hold the $100 and open my unit up so I could help the guy waiting from marketplace then I would go get change with a different $100 bill I had and then come back and pay him and he said he couldn’t open the unit til he got paid. I then said you have $100 in your hand which pays for the rent and if I weren’t to come back you actually made $13 more then you were supposed to. He said nope can’t do anything. I explained I had someone in the parking lot trying to purchase something I had in my unit and if he could please help out with the situation as the guy was in a hurry to pick his wife up. The employee said nope can’t do anything til I’m paid. After realizing I was just going around in circles with this guy and now knowing he was going to continue to provide the worst customer service I had ever seen or heard of I walked out and decided to just run and get change. The guy wanting to buy the tires I was selling had to go and I lost the sale because of this incompetent moron that Storlocal has running this facility. Never again will I give them a dime of my money due to their bait and switch pricing and the genius’ they hire. ... Read more

Not happy with the miscommunication and over charge. Owning pinnacle peak storage in Montana this is not how we would treat a customer. Your rep canceled both of my units instead of one. Now despite making an email letting you guys know that I couldn’t access j01 to sell some of My belongings, I had to sign up for an entire new storage unit and spend over 100$ to get access and emailed them. They are unwilling to refund for this issue. Thanks for taking advantage of the customers. ... Read more

I rented a 5X10 storage I just moved from Ca. to Idaho and was in need of a storage . When I lived in Ca. I was the property maintenance person for 2 storage facilities. I met Josh who is very knowledgeable with the storage industry. He got me in and out in a very timely matter . The whole process took about 20 min. The facility is very clean and the feeling I got was very secure. Josh is truly an asset for your Co. With that said I will surely recommend this facility to family and friends . You have an exceptional employee in Josh . My review definitely deserves 5 stars. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
