Read some helpful reviews of Alpine Self Storage at 2593 2nd Street South, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

If I could give them less than 1 star I would! I only had a storage unit with them for 3 or so months no issues with them besides it being broken into twice. But when I canceled my unit rental with them back in May, I have been charged for the months of June, July and August even though I didn't not have a unit woth them any longer. I and my fiance went down to their office to ask for the refunds they said they sent them... and no we never received the refunds. So I had to dispute them with my credit card company and get a whole new card sent to me just to stop them from charging me when I no longer had a storage unit with them. I do not recommend getting a storage unit here. I know the price is good but it is not worth this struggle of canceling the charges when you go to close it! ... Read more

The access is kind of tight. The grounds are pretty clean. I have never seen the people who care for the facilities. There was a child who was left unattended. I made sure he made his way back to the house on the grounds. ... Read more

Rotten experience. We had both of our RV batteries stolen. Then this spring someone removed our tarp that covered it for winter and took all our good rope and all of our bungie's. It is a dirty place with not enough cameras to watch everything. And in the back where most of the RV's are parked it is plain dirt and a mud hole with any rain. Oh, but hey, it is cheap. I guess you really get what you pay for. ... Read more

So I had to use this place as an emergency storage unit and had to pay a deposit no biggie. I had a single sized bed its box spring and a box of games in there for 3 months. Cleared it out and asked about my deposit. All I was told was to make sure it was empty and swept out. Easy peasy so that's what I did but apparently it wasn't enough so no deposit back. It figures I honestly expect I won't get this money back and I'm dabbling with idea of taking it to small claims court but I digress. Aside from that hiccup the staff is friendly and I was warned about rats and flooding but all my stuff is in fine shape after moving out. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Alpine Self Storage - 2593 2nd Street South has to offer. These amenities include Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Online Payment and RV Storage. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
