They get you with fees if you don’t tell them in advance you are moving stuff out. They don’t tell you that in the beginning, it’s as you move out. Also, roads are terrible and pretty much inaccessible in the winter time due to poor snow removal management. ... Read more

Do not rent from here! Period. Nice in the units. Crazy amount of dust. And in the winter expect your unit to be inaccessible due to ice in front of of and inside your unit covering the floor. Also don’t expect fair treatment when it comes to canceling your unit. Expect to pay for an additional three months. This place is garbage. Please for the love of humanity do not support this place. ... Read more

I went my storage units in Rexburg in April only to find both units had frozen water on the floor and had ruined two mattresses. In July I reported a hole in the roof of the storage unit and as of September it still hadn’t been fixed. If I could leave a lower review, I would. ... Read more

Absolutely horrible. Water damage, poor snow management, doors frozen shut, broken up lot, doors that barely open and close, gate that is always left open, and more. They charged us an extra month after we moved out. We communicated and everything. Followed their policy and scheduled the date and was charged regardless. They refused to issue a refund to us for their mistake. Honestly a disgusting and disgraceful business. ... Read more

Poorly maintained. They kept raising our storage fee for “ maintenance upkeep” but in the winter time we were never able to access our unit because they would plow the snow against the unit doors and then we were expected to shovel it (to where i don’t know) in order to access our unit) The one time we couldn’t get the door open because they piles all the snow against our door then it froze! We had a load of stuff we needed to put in our unit. So the people at the desk gave us another unit to put our stuff in temporarily until we were able to get our door opened. Well we came back and our lock on the new unit was cut and all our stuff was gone!! The lady at the desk said they had to knowledge of that and our stuff was thrown out. We have had nothing but issues! Every time we call NO ONE ANSWERS!!! This past spring the roof of our unit leaked and all our stuff was ruined! The little stuff that wasn’t lost the the flooding and mold the mice for to! We literally lost everything! And we still can’t get a hold of anyone! Oh and the best part is we recently cleared out our unit (cleared it all to the dump) and they called me (unfortunately I was at work and missed the call!) but they leave a message and say that they will have to charge us a fine because we didn’t sweep the unit out and we missed a toy and some newspaper. So after loosing all of stuff to their complete lack of maintaining the units and their inability to answer their phone we now will have to pay a fine. Seriously save yourself the hassle and find a better place! Honestly would give them 0 stars if that was allowed! ... Read more

Terrible water damage to the unit we rent out. We went and checked in early march to grab some stuff only to find our unit had flooded and frozen over during the winter. Which ruined a lot of our stuff. Working through our insurance now to try and get some sort of money to compensate a whole house worth of furniture ruined. Update: The property manager reached out to me and spent a good amount of time trying to smooth out the mess with the insurance company (who denied my claim since the damage didn't come from the ceiling). He was very honest and kind and showed a lot of integrity. I was highly impressed with him reaching out to me, especially when he didn't have too and my claim had already been denied. For those looking to rent, the property manager is excellent and has been very helpful with finding a solution to this problem for the future renters! However be wary of the rental insurance. Especially if you are worried about water damage. ... Read more

Grand Teton Storage can be good if you have a lot of time to play games. They do have some of the best rates, and they are in a fairly convenient location, but even though their staff is friendly and well-meaning, customer service is not as professional as advertised. If you are going to them for the deal, you may need to call them back several times until the deal is actually honored. In fact, if you try to call them at all, you may need to call several times just to get through (10+). Normal office hours does not guarantee that someone will actually be in the office. Don't bother leaving a message because it is rarely returned. (If management changes between when you submit your initial paperwork and when it is time to move in, you may need to be prepared that the deal-of-the-month you thought you were going to get is no longer available and will not be honored.) Be prepared when you first go to your unit to find it locked. You may then need to run around trying to find someone to unlock it or give you the key to do so. You may also want to be prepared to realize that the unit they said was yours was not actually the correct one. You may have to dance the Hokey Pokey several times before getting the correct key to unlock the correct unit... If you need a refund because they didn't correctly prorate your final month's rent, you may wish to ask them to verify several times that they have all the information and documents they need; especially as the check may require 6 to 8 weeks to be delivered, and if they don't have all the documents, you may realize 3 weeks in that you will have to wait longer for the check. Sometimes you may get a storage unit that is not clean. Not to worry, though. Just spread your own tarp on the ground and place your stuff on top of that. Asking management to clean it up may be futile. The front gate is hardly secure, and may often be out of order. That's just a minor detail, of course. This review is based primarily on my own experience. I may be the only one with these experiences, but my recommendation to anyone considering these units would be to prepare to spend a lot of time with the bugs (bugs in the system, not the creepy things. We haven't had any problems with creepy things). Like I said before, the employees are well-meaning, but the system (whether in office procedures or training) seems like it could use a lot of work to actually make things less of a hassle for storage space tenants. ...
