Be careful if you park a motorized RV with a catalytic converter! I heard stories about theft but didn’t think it happened in little Franklin so I didn’t take precautions. They cut the fence by the tree line, came in and cut the cat off my Class C (Sep 2022)!! Learned a lesson. Police said no storage facility is safe. Facility needs more security or better fence and more cameras. ... Read more

Rented a small unit for seasonal things. Decided to put those things in another rental location. Jumped through hoops to get them to stop charging me. You have to send a letter to a P.O. box in Martinsville Indiana seven days before you empty the unit. They must check just every now and then. Don't bother calling them that was also a total waste of my time. Terrible customer service, I will never rent from any of Foxes Den locations. I would never recommend them to anyone. ... Read more

Please DO NOT use Foxes Den, Franklin or any other location. Their website states they are safe and secure with camera's. This is FALSE they have no camera's and they keep telling people they are getting them but none as of yet! Our 30 foot trailer was taken from their lot. We have talked with others who have moved their camper away from there. Theirs had been broken in to twice a few years back. They were also told camera's were being put in soon. They have NO concern for your property just the monthly fees collected! Then when i questioned their website and stated they had some reasonable responsibility they were rude and and stated we should have had a hitch lock. We have stored campers for over 25 years (not with them) and never had an issue and never had a hitch lock. We always locked our camper up. Maybe they should stand by their website when they state they have a "safe and secure facility including camera's " . DO NOT STORE HERE!!! ... Read more

Horrible customer service. Was with them for over a year without any issue and all of a sudden my automatic payment stopped. No warning about it. Called to try to get it resolve and the gentleman on the phone was very rude raising his voice at me. All I had was a question as to why my automatic payment stopped and was yelled at saying that I was never on an automatic payment. Real odd since I have been there for over a year and can show proof of an automatic payment. I am a customer with an issue that was trying to go about it the right way by calling and talking calmly. I will take my business somewhere else. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.

The facility at 2660 North Morton Street offers 24/7 access, allowing you to visit your unit at your convenience.

To open your storage unit door, start by unlocking it, whether it uses a traditional padlock or a Bluetooth-enabled smart lock. Once unlocked, grab the bottom handle and lift or pull up the roll-up door until it’s fully open.

If you’re using the unit for the first time, make sure the lock is properly removed before opening the door to avoid damage.

Security helps protect your belongings while they’re in storage and gives you peace of mind between visits. Many self storage facilities use a combination of features such as video surveillance, gated access, on-site management, and well-lit premises to help deter unauthorized access.

At Foxes Den Self Storage - 2660 North Morton Street, available security amenities may include Onsite Manager, designed to help keep your items protected.

Yes, most standard vehicles can be stored in self storage units. A 10x20 unit typically provides enough space for a car, while outdoor or designated parking areas may be available for larger vehicles.

For safety reasons, most self storage facilities restrict certain items. These commonly include:

    • Hazardous, flammable, or toxic materials
    • Perishable food
    • Live plants or animals
    • Cash, firearms, or irreplaceable valuables

Always check with the facility at 2660 North Morton Street for specific restrictions and recommendations.
