Read some helpful reviews of Hometown Storage, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

We have been tenants with Super Self Storage, LLC for the past 2 years, never had any kind of issues with Laura, she was present, ran her business like a maw & pop shop & was there for you if you had any problems, the facility was being watched at all times, police presence as well, she had pride running her business. I left a Google review in the past expressing my experience with her. realizing now reading the Google reviews, all the previous reviews up to 4 months ago are super self storage, llc not the new owners (HS). Hometown storage requires a lot of changes like billing, you can't just drop off your payment they want you to be on auto pay or mail it in to an Indianapolis address and if it doesn't get to them on time or process in time they lock you out and you have a late fee to get resume access to your belongings and locking you out before the 5th of the month when you're supposed to have a 5 day great grace period from when your rent is due. no one is ever there, no longer a dumpster for tenants to use, requires you to carry in their insurance extra $15 per month which If they were watching the facility why would tenants have to carry their insurance? They advertise that they are a locally owned business & have a on-site manager not true, they are from Indianapolis and no manager is on-site but maybe someone that comes in once or twice a week for a few hours. We loved storing with Laura when it was Super Self Storage, LLC but now we are lucky enough to find Brandon with Secure Space Storage down the road, he is an actual local business, he is there for you 24/7, he has top of the line surveillance & actually watches his facility. He has fair prices & guarantees no rent raises for 2 years & doesn't require you to carry insurance. We look forward in having a great tenant relationship with him. How can anyone want to rent from a place that is like hometown storage. When they took over they painted messed the locks up with the tape they used. There was a time I paid couldn't get into the gate cause they changed all that without notice was very pissed cause I went to get into my buildings and couldn't the place isn't clean like Laura worked so hard to keep done oh yeah she did that cause she was on site. You have an issue with hometown and you call and what happens you don't get a friendly voice oh wait a min you don't get a voice like we did with Laura. It just kills me how a place can have such a high rating and such low low low service to people. Makes you think people. I would never advice anyone to go here. Ever ... Read more

I was a long long time customer of this business, when it was super self storage, I had high expectations for service. When they changed hands to these new owners, service went down. My door was broken, and it took 2 months to get it fixed. There is no one on site, and they got rid of the dumpsters. ... Read more

Laura was great and the new ladies are ok too; however, if you want to pay by check , that's where the problems begin. If they don't receive the mail on time or they haven't got it processed in time they lock you out. You have 5 days until you start paying late fees; but, you still can't access your unit. You are required to either pay an added fee for insurance on your own belongings or show proof of private insurance. ... Read more

I highly recommend Super Self Storage. I would do more than 5 stars if there was an option to do so. The facility, storage units, service and security are the best I've ever experienced. We had one of the newer large units (12x40) in order to gradually move from Lexington area to Louisville/Southern IN area. Laura was absolutely great and provided premium service, awesome communications and kept us informed of all activity going on around the storage units (e.g., ongoing construction projects, snow removal, high wind situations that might impact gate opening, etc.). She was also very accommodating in cases where one of us forgot our key or had other needs relating to our storage unit. You can't go wrong with using Super Self Storage! ... Read more

I never write reviews, but I had to this time. I rented a storage unit from here and wasn't really expecting much, aside from having a safe place for my belongings. I soon learned that their are still decent, kind people in the world. Laura was a joy to rent from. I never worried about my belongings. I needed to get in one evening to get something out of my storage unit and I had forgotten my code, I called thinking I would get no answer as it was after hours, but low and behold she answered and helped me out. She not only cares about the safety of your belongings, she cares about your personal safety also. ... Read more

If you are looking for the best secure & a locally owned/small community feel storage facility, store here! This storage facility is not ran like the others, there are policies & procedures in place that you must follow, they are in placed to keep criminals/malice persons off the property. In return, you get the peace of mind that not only are you personally secure while you're on site, so are your personal belongings when you're not. Plus, you get Laura, she is on site, watches the property like a hawk! She knows who belongs on the property& who doesn't. She does her best to be available to you if you would have any problems, not like other storage facilities where you have to call in to a call center from out of town, no one on site. The security surveillance is top of the line & is monitored 24/7. You definitely get your monies worth & the best rental prices in town!] ... Read more
