HORRIBLE management! Can never reach property manager and keep getting charged insurance when have provided proof of having my own. they won't take off extra charge, can't leave messages, don't seem to care and don't fix the issue. took over 3 weeks before was able to finally talk to them. and kept adding late fees while trying to resolve. promised to fix issues and same problem again this month. ... Positives: Automated kiosk (for payments, etc) and easy 24/7 access is very nice. The lighting is pretty good, and I think there are sufficient cameras (though I wish there were entry gates too). Downsides: my unit rent went up over time for unknown reasons, it's an automated-only location, and posted phone contact info mostly leads to a call center which can make it feel hard to connect with local management personnel. EDIT and rating update: My wife visited another local location and was able to speak to regional management personnel regarding our unit and was quickly helped to have our lease vacated since we've now moved out. *If you need local, in-person help, check the Brownsburg and/or Plainfield locations during business hours.* (Had I known the region had shared management oversight, my original post would have been different.) ... Update**** This location was apparently in transition of management being taken over by the Brownsburg office. Once I got in touch with them, they were super helpful and solved the problem right away. My previous review was based on unfortunate timing and was premature. Would recommend to friends for sure. So we are buying a house in Pittsboro. This location for self-storage is right around the corner from our future house. I rented the unit on line this morning and paid for it. The instructions were to push the "complete move-in" button on the kiosk and receive the provided lock. The locks are supposed to be the flat, padlock type. We live on the opposite side of Indianapolis from this location so it's over an hour drive. We loaded up our SUV at home and drove to Pittsboro. First of all, there is no "complete move-in button" on the kiosk. There is a "call for help" arrow pointing to a gaping hole in the kiosk where obviously some other equally angry customer bludgeoned the button inside itself. The sign beside the machine says to push button for help or call xxx-xxx-xxxx. This number gives you a very helpful recording that tells you this number no longer serves this establishment. We speculate they didn't pay their management bill. The number published on the Google ad tells you that you have dialed an invalid number or code. Also very helpful. Finally I got a human at the Brownsburg office who told me she would need to message someone who maintains the kiosk but they couldn't help me until tomorrow. I'm not sure I have ever experienced such a ridiculous excuse for a business. ... Read more

Absolutely abhorrent treatment. New customer who hasn't even moved in yet and we cant access anyone. Paid online and reserved a unit, arrived to move in after driving from across town and the kiosk is broken and the phone number next to it is out of service because the company couldn't pay their bills. Tried calling the phone numbers listed in the email we received with the same amount of luck. Found the owner of the company to be Herman and Kittle in Indianapolis and called them and left them a message as well. This is absolutely ridiculous. The website shows pictures that must be 10 years old, and there isnt even a fence or gate surrounding the units. When we get ahold of someone to get our money back we will not be staying here. ... Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
