Read some helpful reviews of Climate Storage, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Climate Storage is a great place to rent. There is a new office staff that answered all my questions. I have met the owners & they are friendly, kind & have made every effort to clean up the facility. I can attest that the recent negative reviews are false & made by former employees that were terminated for mishandling the property & taking advantage of the owners. I will continue to use this facility. ... Read more

"Climate Control" Storage is as much climate control as a barn or shed. It's not even decent indoor storage. Dozen of my boxes were damp/soaked. One box had a tub inside with my (now adult son's)grade school art and papers. Tub also had 2 1/2 inches of WATER! Ruined it all. And no it wasn't from shipping container. I have videos/pictures of it's roof. Every piece of wood furniture was covered with mold and mildew. Including my 103 year old baby grand piano and great great aunt's 100 year old bedroom suite, granddaughter clock. A chest that is now warped. Lost books that will be expensive to replace. Some are out of print! I had units 173 and 155. Wouldn't recommend storing anything in "climate storage" you care about, can't replace or wouldn't store in a barn or shed. I regret using them and sick how much money I spent to have things damaged or totally ruined. Took me awhile to write a review. Been depressing and slow unpacking and cleaning and salvaging. Copy of will be sent to other places such as BBB in case "climate control" storage removes this review. ... Read more

There is literally never anyone in the office. Their listed hours are meaningless. You'll only find someone there through blind luck, and even then they're typically hiding where you can't see them around the corner with the doors locked. It's an okay storage facility if you already have a unit, but if you want to stop in to pay a bill or rent a new unit you're better off calling and hoping someone actually answers or going to the Public Storage down the street. ... This is hands down one of the best storage facilities I've ever used in the country and easily the best in Lawrence. It is new and that is a bonus. The office administration and management is excellent. I enjoy the ability to access my unit around office hours with the security and knowledge that someone is available if necessary. The location is perfect for wherever you may live and especially if you are a student at KU looking for a solution, short or long term, to store your things where college living can be restrictive in terms of closet space. You have absolutely nothing to lose and everything to gain in choosing Climate Storage in Lawrence! ... Read more

Everything about this storage company is amazing. Let me start with the manager, she is great, helpful and went step by step through the process. There is wonderful security and lighting there. And ALL units are climate controlled, so I can go into my unit and go through things and not have to worry about the rain, snow or cold weather and even hot weather. If you are looking for a storage unit this company and place is where you need to come too. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.
