Rented a great unit at Public Storage to store my daughter's dorm furniture. The online process was so easy. Got a great price. Stopped in to see the facility. Tina was incredible. She verified my information, answered my insurance questions, and was absolutely lovely. Update: I had questions in July. Tina returned my call in an hour and was able to answer all my questions. When we arrived in August for move in, we discovered our lock keys were back in Chicago. Tina talked me off the ledge and helped come up with solutions. Our unit was secure, dry, and easy to access. We definitely will rent from Public Storage again. Tina is the best! ... Read more

I recommend staying clear of Public Storage, as its name Public Storage will become synonymous with your possession becoming property of others. 1. Rented in 2017, rented a large unit for $110 (approx.), same unit became $189 - $230. Rent increases with time. What happened to the guarantee rent will not increase? 2. I reported to front office (????Tina and another woman in glasses), I planned to move out at the end of the month, after numerous times of the unit lock being cut for no reason. The latest was when ????Tina indicated, it was for non-payment. I informed her, how a late payment, when I have proof by my bank account payment was made at the beginning of each month? She stated, she saw when she was making her round. That was a lie. I went by the unit to start removing my stuff, items inside unit was a mess. Appliances were missing, clothing, fishing poles, movies, flower pots (only a woman would have use for flowerpots), skis, bike, rug cleaner, etc. I went to informed PS Haskell (they were closed), I had moved out, had to go to one near Walmart and was told I had to pay the next month fees. Told female (who appeared drunk or is slow, took her awhile to understand, how do I owe additional fees), she indicated I did not submit through the online???????. 3. If you value your possessions, go to another storage company with cameras. There are several in Lawrence. If you ask, if there will be ever be a price increase and response is no, be warned, there will be. 4. Looked through the public storage auction and I saw my appliances being auctioned off. (Pubic storage auction, select one near your location). 5. Contact BBB, if you are unable to a resolution. That is the next step. 6. Lastly, before you trust your possessions to a self storage unit, check the reviews first. ????I would have selected a different storage company. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Public Storage - 2223 Haskell Avenue has to offer. These amenities include Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access and Online Payment. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Public Storage - 2223 Haskell Avenue can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 50 to 200 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Public Storage - 2223 Haskell Avenue come at a variety of prices, starting from $51 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $161 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
