Horrible start here. Talked to Austin about first time rental and setting June 1 start but likely needing to access Sunday or Monday of memorial weekend. Austin said all good just stop by office if come in those days and we can get you early access. Would have been great to tell me we could start immediately or that nobody would be there after 5p Sunday or on Monday. Instead I show up with at trailer Sunday night, can’t get in after a day of moving and driving. Had to buy second online so could unload Monday as U-Haul had to be returned. Subsequently called office to make sure first unit never access got closed out and to remove insurance. Was assured all was handled. Just looked at app and saw insurance still be applied and couldn’t see lock charge from first rental was removed. Called office and got Austin. He told me insurance couldn’t be taken off by phone even though I was told it was removed. Basically said too bad, can’t be done and can’t be refunded, best you can do is remove online for next payment. Then talked about lock, from first unit and he said that gets automatically refunded, he couldn’t verify and I would need to go back through my account to determine. Finally I expressed my displeasure with all activity there to date including his lack of help today and the complete debacle of memorial weekend. Austin argued with me about being there Sunday then sarcastically said if after hours that’s on me. I told him rather than indicate to first time renter we could handle Sunday or Monday, maybe sharing hours would have been better, Austin got assy and asked what else he could do for me as he felt like he was just a punching bag and wasn’t there for that. Since he had done absolutely nothing, and clearly felt no accountability or responsibility for my numerous issues as a first time renter we hung up. Absolutely the least accountable and worst overall customer service I have encountered in a long time. Austin did absolutely nothing to make me feel like I made the right choice renting here. Hopefully my experience can only improve ... Read more

Desiree is awesome! She recommended use of a different public storage facility based on resources the other facility had to benefit our storage/move-in needs. She even gives recommendations on lakes and hiking trails! ... Read more

I do not recommend Public Storage. Let me share my experience. First, I elected for a 5x10 storage unit only to find upon move-in that our 5x10 was really 4x8 (if even). It doesn't seem like a big difference but it really is. Public storage doesn't care about their bait and switch tactics either. They simply refer you to the renter's agreement that states locker sizes are approximate and actual ones may be smaller. Then, the door nearest our unit does NOT work! So we had to haul all of our stuff through the entire length of the building. They don't care either as I was told by an employee there is NO fix date for the door. Also, the 'climate controlled' facility is not working so their is NO climate control. Pretty much every wrong thing happened and there is zero interest in making things right or fixing the issues. They count on people just moving in and dealing with their lies since moving all your stuff to another facility is a huge inconvenience. ... Read more

Gunner is genuinely one of the kindest and most helpful people I’ve met. He has a calm, positive energy that makes everyone around him feel comfortable. He’s always willing to help without hesitation, and he does it with a smile and a great attitude. He’s respectful, reliable, and truly goes above and beyond for others. Anyone who gets the chance to work with him or even just talk to him will immediately notice how thoughtful and amazing he is. Gunner is simply outstanding. ... Read more

It has been quite some time since I have needed this type of service (storage unit) & between having to move & dealing with all the ends & outs, I was a bit like a deer in headlights. However, Gunther & the other associates were very nice & helpful to get me thru it all without making me feel like the old person I am. I really appreciated it. In addition the facility was clean & I thought the pricing very reasonable. ... Read more

Initially, I would’ve left one star because I was charged for a lock that I requested not to be charged for because we brought our own. They also added a balance for the following month to my account, even though the next month hadn’t even started yet. And I was upset that they put us on the second floor despite the online booking agent, assuring me that we would receive a first floor unit. I spoke on the phone with the property manager, Gunner, and he resolved the first two issues promptly, like within two minutes of my complaint. I will say be careful because if you receive a lock that you don’t want leave it in the package and make sure you return it in a timely manner or they won’t let you return it. I completely forgot to even mention the last issue, and honestly, he resolved my other issues so quickly, so I’m not even calling him back to complain about that. Plus, it’s really not this location’s fault that the online booking agent I spoke to promised a first floor spot when she obviously wasn’t sure they had one. The space I was given was relatively close to the elevator so that helped, but it was honestly Gunner’s customer service that made me so satisfied with my experience. So I’m definitely giving the place five stars, I would be sure to speak on the phone to make sure you’re not getting charged for more than you want. Also, we were sure to move out one week before the renewal, so on the 21st day to not risk being charged for another month. ... Read more

Moved my items in 6 weeks ago to a new clean facility. As of last night the humidity level was at or near 100% on at least the whole first floor. It is much more humid inside than it is outside, and it's been humid outside. Mold growing all over my personal items, the ceiling, the walls. Water streaks running down the walls. My furniture damp to the touch. Boxes soggy. The whole facility is very humid. Not "Climate controlled." If you have items in this facility I recommend you check on them soon. The new property manager is aware and seems nice but doesn't have the ability to change the climate or fix the issue. Doesn't sound like he can even close a door without jumping through hoops. Those who don't by chance happen to go in soon as I and a few others have will come back to their stuff one day likely to discover a total loss. ... Read more

Shawn was very kind while answering all of my questions and patient while I made up my mind what I was going to do. The new location was nice and clean and easy to get into. I would also like to acknowledge Gunner at a different location who answered a bunch of first round questions and helped find the most convenient location for me. Friendly with great, positive energy. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
