Read some helpful reviews of East Bay Storage at 670 West Center Road, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Good lighting, decent prices, but poorly maintained units. Sealants on bottom trim of pull up doors so old it's frail, hard with pieces falling off with every open & close. Basically non-existant. Bee hives & massive amounts of spider webs across doors. You have to wonder where all the money goes that is paid every month by everyone were they can only afford lawn care & but can't afford upkeep of the actual units themselves. Other than greed, there's no viable excuse for the neglect. ... Read more

The units are nice and dry. We rented a huge unit, a little expensive, but what isn't these days. The drive behind the units was supposed to be drivable within 2 weeks of renting, which wasn't drivable by the time we emptied our unit 1 month later. Friendly office lady, would probably rent again if we ever needed to. ... Read more

Went to east bay storage today to sign paper work and claim my unit which I paid for over the phone 3 days prior. I was told my 19 foot car would fit in the 10x20 unit and it would have if I could actually turn my vehicle in the spot provided but it was between two walls and there was know way I’d be able to fit it in. I immediately went back in the office and asked for a unit I’d be able to park my car in and I was told there’s nothing available. When I asked for a refund hallie the manager told me I would lose my first month deposit even though I just signed the paper work 5 mins prior and never used the unit. I asked to speak to someone above her and she stated the winner won’t talk to anyone and no refunds whatsoever and was quite rude about it. I simply said just give me my refund then knowing I was screwed out of $100 in 5 mins. She said I’m calling the cops and said she felt threatened. I never once yelled, swore or posed any threat whatsoever to her. She had the cops come in and the owner also came in and he said there’s nothing I can do. Shady business! I highly recommend looking somewhere else poorly managed and owned! beware!! ... Read more

Had some things stored there for 2 years, and never had a problem. I paid a year in advance when I first rented the unit, then paid at least 3 months in advance after the year. Normally I would get a phone call or a letter in the mail stating my payment was due, this time I didn’t get contacted at all. Ended up being 2 days late to pay and let them know I was emptying it out, and they charged me a late fee of $29. What a rip off, considering the unit only cost me $74 for a month. Glad I will never need a storage unit from them again. ... Read more

I have had my stuff here for a year a now and everything was great! Kim was easy to work with and knew exactly what was going on at ALL times. The new new girl Hallie... Gives a different story every time, has no clue what she's doing and is over charging . I am moving my stuff to a new storage facility, no way am I dealing with this type of circus on a monthly basis. They went from 5 stars to none in my opinion. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that East Bay Storage - 670 West Center Road has to offer. These amenities include Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate and Parking. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
