There is never nobody in the office and never answers the phone so we can change the name on the unit it’s been almost a month and still waiting for the unit to be changed in my name and can’t get anything I need out of the unit that I need …. ... Read more

I have rented a unit for about a year. I pay $70 for their smallest unit. If you don’t pay your rent by the last day of the month they disable your code and put a red master lock on your unit. This is all listed out in the lease agreement, but still caught me off guard. It can take some time for them to remove the red master locks which is SO ANNOYING, but again it’s in the lease so I can’t be mad. ... Read more

I haven't had any other experience with a self storage facility, but I think I might have been spoiled. First, it was always clean, no strange odors or random trash or cigarette butts on the grounds. Second and most importantly, they have top notch customer service. Even though I got the rental online, which was very easy, they had no problem calling me when my mom didn't lock up properly. They noticed the problem in less than 24hrs. When it came time for us to close our account, we moved on a day that was convenient for us. Which happened to be the first of the month. Their policy is, to not be charged for a month of rent you have to have items out before the first of the month. We didn't call a head of time to ask for special consideration, we moved the stuff out accepting the rules. The business manager called the next day and said since we were out on the first and left our unit completely empty of contents and trash she was going to refund the month. I didn't ask her to do that, because rules are rules. I appreciate that so much. Should I ever need a storage unit again I will be going back. ... Read more

Please don't defend the review. We still do business and 2 minutes after we hang up u add a $20 late fee to my account after I inform u that I got a new card again and please don't put a lock on my storage I regret staying another month but i need to move my things asap. The facilities are fantastic my only issue is the high level of masculine femininity there. Business is business and continuous business I though meant customer service. These meth head women answering the phones have to pipe down. How does a customer calling to say hey guys i got a new card sorry for delay please don't put a lock on my storage unit become exorbitant late fee and then an email regarding a storage lein. It's Feb 6th and sorry this is exactly why im glad im not on autopay still.. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Kansas Expwy Self Storage - 1031 South Wabash has to offer. These amenities include Climate-Controlled, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Kiosk Available, Parking, Online Payment and RV Storage. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Kansas Expwy Self Storage - 1031 South Wabash can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 50 to 540 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Kansas Expwy Self Storage - 1031 South Wabash come at a variety of prices, starting from $50 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $325 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
