I have nothing but positive feedback for this institution. The property is well maintained. Prices are affordable. Not incredible but competitive. The main office is very clean as well as the indoor building where my things are housed. Niki your property supervisor has some of the best interpersonal skills I've seen in customer service. You guys are a notch above the rest & it shows. ... Read more

Been using this place for about two years. It’s been pretty good until recently. Beginning of summer I found a bunch of mouse nests that destroyed several things in my unit. Now I’m trying to get in, clean it out, and reorganize. But the last two times I’ve gone to my unit it’s been inaccessible. There have been previous instances of this as well. I haven’t received notice that any units would not be accessible or that any work was being performed at the site that would cause access disruptions. I will be looking to move my things to another unit… if I can ever manage to get access. ... Read more

As a business owner & lifelong Mt resident I value locally owned establishments & have given this facility my business for the last 5 yrs. I was NOT impressed by their district manager. I listened as she spoke to another customer bragging about her overseeing a facility in Bozeman & having to pick up the slack of the gal working there now. She continued on stating some unnecessary & rather rude remarks against this girl & I'd heard enough. I walked out & payed via the kiosk. Advice to the owners...get a different district manager. She's as unprofessional as they come. ... Read more

If you are having trouble getting a booking, make sure you're checking their website daily. I was having a hard time for a little while but then all of a sudden a bunch of units opened up around the 16th or 17th maybe? The units are great, lots of different sizes to choose from (when they are available). I like that there is a gate to get in to the facility. Also like that there was a kiosk to rent the unit, I didn't have to go during business hours which was a real plus. I don't have a huge basis for how fair the prices are but I do feel like the monthly fees are in line with the market. Update: 2 months later, still going great. Have been on auto-pay with credit card. No issues. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Helena Self Storage - 1344 Jordan Drive has to offer. These amenities include Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Kiosk Available, Parking, Keyless Unit Access and Online Payment. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
