Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 2700 Liberty Road, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Do not trust this facility. The female that works there during the week will check to see if each unit is locked properly, and looks to see what you have stored there if it's not locked properly(because their gates are garbage). After a few days of seeing this and noticing you have valuable items, she let's someone know that they are cleared to steal your stuff. Anyone would assume your things are locked securely, if it weren't for her meddling with your things and gate door. She was the only one aware of this issue, that's why I believe she had something to do with the robbery. This is a warning, do not rent any unit on the 2nd floor...it has no working cameras, and the girl who works there knows this. If you have something they want to steal, and they see your unit is still not securely locked, they will plan on stealing it a few days later. This isn't the first time people have had their things stolen at this location by the way. Horrible dishonest workers. I stored my packages on Aug. 9th 2025 and made sure the gate door was all the way down when I put my lock on. These gates will let you put a lock on even if it's not securely lined up. There were other units not securely locked as well. My son noticed this and the employee Enrique showed me a customers unit, and lifted it up to show me it wasn't locked properly also on my last visit there on Aug 23rd. Seems to be an ongoing problem at this location. I received one phone call(did not leave a message) and one email on Aug.13th from the girl that works there during the week, stating my locker was not locked properly. No more calls or emails after that. Just one attempt. I get a lot of emails, so this one message was buried so deep in my inbox I didn't even notice it. I had to come to my storage (on Aug. 23) to find all my built and unbuilt model kits stolen(roughly 200+) personal belongings, and various electronic devices, except for a pet play pen that they left behind. I was told she confirmed my stuff was still there on Aug. 13th, and she closed the gate. If the gate was closed, it would appear that the unit is locked...right? How would these thieves know that this unit was unlocked? According to the video footage we(the Police and myself) reviewed, the thieves seemed very calm and relaxed while emptying my unit. No rush. Just taking their time loading my things into a moving truck. If the employees do routine walkthroughs, and the worker realized I'm sure, that my unit was still unlocked...why wouldn't she attempt to contact me at least one more time, a day or two later to notify me? Just one call and email? That's it? Something foul seems to be going on at this location in my opinion. I have had an account with Public Storage for months back in florida and I never experienced any issues at their facilities. I will never trust another Public Storage facility ever again after this incident. Do yourself a favor and bring your things to a more secure location, that actually has workers who properly follow up with their customers, when situations like this arise. You're basically paying to have your things stolen there. Not enough cameras, poor customer service from the office, and faulty gate doors that don't gaurantee a secure lockdown. Instead of contemplating how to steal someone's possessions...how about you actually work for what you own, instead of looking for an opportunity to steal from someone else. ... Read more

This was our second storage area for our items. It started off as a private storage area called City Storage, and the owner was fantastic. The service was fantastic, and the spaces were climate controlled. The price when we moved in was about as reasonable as we could find, a really good deal, and we were very happy. The storage space and grounds are excellent, however, Public bought this place, and in less than 6 months, our space rent has almost doubled. At this rate, we will be looking for another space in short order. ... Read more

**This is a Pre Review, in case anything bad happens to my things while I'm gone. You wouldn't use my previous Public Storage lock, so if someone access my unit, I'm sayin now that I didn't give permission. I pay my rent. Try me** First off, I drive all the way from Charlotte and get to this "new" facility and I see the gate is ran thru... Not a good sign, but could be an accident or tenant who didn't pay their rent. Ok, so I go to unload my things and the building has no accessible parking for loading and unloading large things and getting them up onto the sidewalk and into the building... Whatever. I see that my unit is on the 2nd floor so I go in and start looking for an elevator. The elevator is all the way in the back... And the I see a sign on the elevator, saying that it's broken and they're aware and they shouldn't be renting any 2nd floor units until it's fixed. So I go to the front office to try and get some assistance. It's the afternoon.. Middle of the day. Like 1pm... And no one is in the office. Call the number on the door and get sent right to voicemail. My call was ignored. So I call again and left a message. While at the office, a woman that's waiting there, gets out of her car and tells me I shouldn't rent here because of burglary. She said she showed up and had entry to the property and building, but her unit was cleaned out. So she called the cops. The cops were able to get the manager up there, of course. But they wouldn't answer my calls. By the time the manager was there, I'd already carried all of my ish up the dam stairs... ?? So I didn't want to change units anymore cus I had to drive to Raleigh. Lastly, this company is a scam. They make you pay for a lock and tell you to bring your own, in order to get refunded. Well that's what they all say. And I moved from a Public Storage on Charlotte and had to pay for a lock there.. So I bring my lock here with me and these mfs tell me my lock doesn't fit any of their units... Same company! And same locks! They're jus too lazy to accommodate anyone. So I had to use their locks. ... Read more

I'm giving the staff and over all cleanliness of this location a 5 star review. This location was previously owned by another company and started off rocky but the staff made up for code issues and gate issue. No issues now and the upgrades look good. ... Read more

This is probably the best storage experience I have had. Upon arrival with the movers, was told the elevator was broken for the second floor. However, Ben was able to get me an available unit on the first floor, right at the truck dock. Super easy, inconvenient! Thank you ... Read more

A buddy of mine rented a parking space here. I am planning to store some items in about 3 months so I asked him if I should go here too. He said yes so I stopped by. The lady on site was very friendly. She walked with me to a 10 x 10 unit and showed me the inside since I have never stored before. She answered all my questions. She let me know how to create a reservation and complete my rental with the app when I am ready to put my items in storage. She was so friendly I may just come to the office to do it all instead. I 100% recommend storing here. Clean facility and high security!! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Public Storage - 2700 Liberty Road has to offer. These amenities include Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Public Storage - 2700 Liberty Road can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 50 to 600 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Public Storage - 2700 Liberty Road come at a variety of prices, starting from $33 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $243 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
