I had a quick and easy time setting up the unit for rent and getting access to the unit. However, everything after that has been horrible. After accessing the unit, I found out that they offer boat storage. I also found out that there was another facility a lot closer to my apartment. I made at least 15 phone calls to the facility on Chimney Rock Rd. and no one returned my call. I ended up keeping the unit until we just found our house. I had to keep our boat at a different location. I just canceled the unit today and found out that I own the lock; they dont credit it back. After 2 calls to the facility and a call with customer service (they hung up)...I emptied the unit and called the facility and finally spoke with someone on site. She was pleasant at first, and while walking away said she was sorry no one had returned my calls. I said oh, by the way, there is a large pile of glass at the endbof the unit...and she acted irritated. I will not be utilizing Public Storage and/recommending them to anyone. ... Read more

This storage facility is great! Reserving the unit was simple, and the prices are more than fair. They were offering a special when I moved in as well. They provide a lock and it’s already in the unit when I arrived to store my belongings. The app works great to see any messages from the property managers and it just takes the push of a button on the app to open the entrance and exit gate. After I had moved in, Shirley called me to ask if I had any questions and to check that I had moved in okay. I definitely would recommend this facility to my friends and family! ... Read more

I've called and left a message 3 times. No call back from the manager. The kick plate at my storage door is completely loose, it slides. Almost fell on move in day. There's no way it's climate controlled, I spent 2 hours in my unit going thru things and NOT ONCE did the air kick on. Believe me I'm looking for another place to store my things. The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.
