Beware of these locations. They do not serve people with mobility issues. No chairs in waiting area. You cannot make an appointment. They do not take cash? Maybe employee stealing cash. NC law states you must accept US currency. US Department of Justice handles these matter on American Disability Act. Filing complaint today for Nationwide against Public Storage. FYI, just check around for storage. ... Read more

I went to put my belongings into a locker I rented from them and it already had a lock on the unit. No one in the office. Internet said they closed at 7 pm. Left messages with manager…crickets. Called help line they said “sorry there’s nothing we can do”. So I’m left with an extra day on the moving truck and no access to my unit. ... Read more

We've had our stuff stored here for about a year and a half, almost two years. While we were fully aware and ok with the unit not being climate controlled, we were NOT expecting to find not only paint chips blown half way into our unit... but *spray paint* on our rug *inside* our unit from the doors being repainted *outside*! This was extremely disappointing to find......... we will not be using this company again. I suggest whoever you're hiring for maintenance be made aware that they are ruining personal belongings of who knows how many people.......... ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
